I think the chance of the Colts passing on Luck are pretty remote. Could happen, but will it? Highly unlikely. They seem him as the next Manning and probably rightfully so, why would anyone pass that up?

Plan B: Manning
Plan C: Orton

I can live with Orton for the short term if Tannehill is being groomed behind him.

Yeah, again my only real concern with Orton is that (from various people I've spoken to) he's kind of a dick and may not be the best locker room presence for a young like Tannehill. Grossman's just the opposite

Oh well, I'd rather have that over Grossman and his 2 INTs a game.

Tannehill seems like a pretty good kid, I'm sure he can handle himself.

Plan C depresses me too. In my eyes Orton is a Rex with less interceptions. I dont want any parts of having him on the roster. I would rather start on of those 2nd teir rookies then mess with Orton.

BTW I am sick of hearing about us try to get someone failed project of a QB. Orton, Henne, Sanchez etc.....

Rex without the picks would have been enough to get us very close or even in the playoffs last year IMO.

As a bridge starter until someone like Tannehill is ready, why not? What's the alternative, Rex with the picks?

I think I agree with that but I also think it can't get to plan C. Plan C= Pitchforks & Torches out front of Redskins Park.

This fan base is so geared up for RG3 or Manning that to give them Orton would create a Jim Fassel backlash x 2.

IMO options 4 and 5 are off the table, mainly cuz Skins nation would revolt. Just imagine the Warpath...

The only options that can be confidently sold to this fanbase are 1 and 3. They can probably get away with option 2 for the short term but it's very thin ice. If Tannehill doesn't evolve quickly it could get ugly.

I agree. I would argue further that, leaving fans aside, plan C is what we've been doing for 20 years. We need a change of tactic regarding QB.
