Yes, the egos must be checked upon entrance into Redskins Camp, and I hope that all parties involved, should Manning happen to sign here, would do just that for the betterment of the team.

Just a footnote, we haven't had a QB of Mannings caliber EVER in DC. I would be so overjoyed to see him here, no matter what age he is. He instantly would bring a sense of professionalism and credibility to this team, as well as the new FO. I would just love to see the fruition of what Peyton Manning could bring to this organization, even if it is only for 3 or 4 years.

If it was any other quarterback entering free agency besides Peyton Manning, I would be against signing him. But it's Peyton Manning, the most prolific quarterback since Joe Montana. I do want the Redskins to draft RG3, but signing Manning to a lucrative deal will allow the Redskins to hold on to all of their draft picks and to continue to retool the roster into an eventual contender.

Can we just go out and thumb our noses at the Rams, pick up PM, pick up Flynn, draft Tannehill, dump our current QB's, get solid talent around the QB position as in WR and OL and piss off the rest of the QB hungry teams and make our weakness one of our strengths?

i originally thought that as well but then i was thinking wont the rams have us by the balls is that happens, knowing that trading up is really our best option if Flynn and PM are picked up? idk just a thought i just hope we get RG3 somehow

They have us by the balls if we don't like Tannehill, but I doubt that's the case. If the aforementioned scenario occurs, we essentially hold all the cards, they don't want to trade with us? So be it, we'll wait for MIN, because no one else is trading up with STL.

i see what your saying, i just hope we really dont miss the boat and another team sneak in front of us and trade up. im thinking more and more i would only be happy with RG3 or a healthy peyton a HEALTHY peyton.

What other team would it be though?
MIA- Taken care of
CLE- Taken care of
SEA- If STL has a single brain cell they won't trade him inside the division
KC- Too far of a jump and Cassell

Unless some mystery team emerges, which I personally doubt considering the cost it would take to move up, I'd say we would be bending them over our knee to teach them a lesson.

I agree that it's possible, but since I don't see any real viable options, I don't think it's very probable.

Well at that point you would still have to contend with two factors. The Seahawks being able to bid, though unlikely the Rams would trade RG3 to a division rival. And of course the fact that above all else, no matter how many teams are bidding, you still have to make the Rams feel comfortable about dropping from 2 to 6 and passing up on Kalil, or possibly Blackmon.
