Re: Alfred Morris pick 6.3

Morris is capable of starting the entire season. When the QB hands off the rock to him, all he does is rumble for chunks of yardage. The Redskins scouting department did a great job in scouting this kid. He's definite steal as a 6th round draft selection.

Likely Morris will start if Shanahan is being mum and Hightower was cut.

Sure. Maybe it's the reason for changing his jersey to #22. He's about to go primetime.

Ah, the old Penn State number, as opposed to 24 his high school number. Both look better than 35

Redskins rookie Alfred Morris is still driving his 1991 Mazda | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports

I really like this guy.

Not that it matters much either way. It's likely a 3 headed monster at RB all year.

I think if he can stay healthy this is his job all year. I could be totally wrong, but that kid runs the hardest of all the guys we have.

He going to rotate them just to keep them fresh?

To keep 'em fresh, sure. Also Shanny likes to play the hot hand. If someone is bringin' it, Shanny will keep playing him. History has shown that often there is no real starter at RB in a Shanny offense.

Re: Alfred Morris pick 6.3

I've been a bit disappointed with Helu in just the few opportunities he's had, which aren't many I realize. But he doesn't look as fast as last year and def doesn't seem to be running as hard either. Morris is def the 1st option. If he stays healthy I see a 1000+ yard season pretty easily.

Re: Alfred Morris pick 6.3

Morris was definitely a sixth round steal. I like everyone else, I like his running style. He reminds me a lot of Stephen Davis. Straight downhill and he's always driving forward for more yardage. If he does top 1,000 yards, it would make me glad. We haven't had a 1,000 yard rusher in four years.

Re: Alfred Morris pick 6.3

Not only that buy he would be one of the first rookies to do so I believe.
