Re: 2012 Presidential Election (free for all edition)
Romney thinks middle class is $250,000 and below, does this guy ever think before he speaks?
Mitt Romney says middle-income’ $250k and below - BostonHerald.com BOSTON — Mitt Romney is promising to reduce taxes on middle-income Americans. But how does he define "middle-income"? The Republican presidential nominee defined it as income of $200,000 to $250,000 a year. Romney commented during an interview broadcast Friday on ABC’s "Good Morning America."

No its not. It is bringing a group of people's public comments into this dialogue. If you want to counter it by showing similar idiotic statements from the other side of the spectrum that's fine, but lets not shut down every dialogue as racist. If the poster of those tweet images had added some blatant racist remark like "look at what some ... wrote" then fine point that out, but that really wasn't the case.

racist no. again its the sad state of US political discourse that any representation made that is not all inclusive is suddenly berated or decried as a racist or sexist or elitist or whateverist, and thus whatever point might be made is lost or belittled. regardless of other people's statement the tweet images represent what should be unacceptable sentiments of how to handle a political loss. |

Re: 2012 Presidential Election (free for all edition)
The best way to stop voter fraud is to stop the manual process and put voting machines into place. This can be run relatively cheaply and it has far better capacity to ensure no votes have been double cast, etc. Enter SSN. Then have queries to check if deceased, felon, etc etc. I'm sure there's a more effective method out there as far as ensuring positive positives, but off the top of my head it's all I can think.

Romney should just come out and said he thinks black people are poor and want handouts. It's no secret that's who he's talking about in that first video.
It keeps getting better and better for Romney. Elect this asshole and you can guarantee our country is plunged into another war. SECRET VIDEO: On Israel, Romney Trashes Two-State Solution | Mother Jones

So is that what the Repubs are going to use going into the debates? A mere fact they use a image of somebody else's planes at a convention? Really? If that's the case, might as well look at the Republican convention and see how many foreign devices that were in place. (most electronics, most cloth made items, and probably most suits) Talk about grasping at straws.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election (free for all edition)
PA Supreme Court ruled against voter ID law returning it to the lower courts for further review. PA supreme court also makes clear that the lower court must suspend the law if voter disenfranchisement will result in the 2012 election.
Basically if the Republican judges don't fix the law, the PA Supreme Court will strike it down before the election. Last edited by 12thMan; 09-18-2012 at 02:01 PM. |
