Thank God. I really like his potential.

I agree. I think he had the ability to be every bit the "playmaker' that Banks supposedly is.

Show me something in the regular season Brandon. I really, really want to be wrong about you.

I concur on all points. Banks' better repay Danny Smith's loyalty to him. And I thought Robinson showed a lot more this preseason than he did last preseason. I really hope he makes an impact this year.

I agree on Banks completely. He pulls something out his arse every August to save his job and then it's a season full of muffs and almost doing something. That was fine when we had no talent a couple years ago but now that we have to cut promising young players to make room for him I am not on board. I would have preferred to let Robinson have a shot at the punt return job and save a roster spot for a player not as one dimensional...

Not even that. It's really just Tampa Bay. I'm hating that team more and more now.

You lost me a little bit. Are you saying that Banks performs well only against T-Bay?

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread

Why would we deal Hightower?

He's apparently healthy again or very close to being, while Helu and Royster are not. We've cut Tristan Davis, so this would leave us with ONE healthy RB and he's a rookie.

I don't believe it. We just re-signed him and I thought Mike Shanahan loved him.

Unless we're bringing someone else in...I keep going back to Ryan Grant who we've been reportedly watching for a while...I don't think we could get away with making this move. Grant would be a big downgrade from Tim too.

More importantly, Hightower is the best pass-blocking RB we've had since Portis. Griffin needs him more for that than gaining yardage.

Apparently his little setback yesterday was not so little. Even if he stays he likely might miss the first couple of weeks

But that's just speculation at the moment. Crazy day of rumors

Well then I could understand trying to get SOMETHING for him. He's a well-known name and could have some value, but that still leaves the problem...who other than Alfred Morris is ready to go at the RB position?

Helu and Royster both played on Wednesday...

Their not going to get something for hightower because multiple reports say that his knee flared up after the Indy game. No need to trade for a RB coming off a Torn ACL who hasn't obviously finished his recovery.

I like him too, perhaps it is because of the competition at WR/LB or possibly the need for a backup CB.

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread

Well I'd keep an eye on what's happening in Miami with Slaton. Maybe Forsett in Houston. I know Forsett has been rumored, I haven't head it myself. Have heard Slaton from a lot of different people from here down to Miami. If he does get cut, Skins are jumping on that

Couldn't get the knee healthy. RT @granthpaulsen: According to a source, #Redskins will release RB Tim Hightower today.
