Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread
SS: any chance of that last roster spot being reserved for an OT?...you mentioned RB or CB. I know we are carrying 9 Oline now and 10 is a stretch, but I am worried about just having 1 backup OT...remember last year?...not a single backup guard at this point and look what happened. I wish Compton was on the squad, or perhaps a studly 33 year old ex LT or something. Perhaps there thinking if there is an injury, they can always put Compton on the roster?

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread
Terrence Ganaway would be a nice pick up.

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread
Tandler just said the last spot is likely to be a CB
Rich_Tandler @All_up_in_ya71 @john_keim It is unlikely that they will. The 53rd player is likely to be a CB.

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread
Thanks SS for all of the updates. Great work my friend.
I am a little confused by some of our moves, and honestly I don't understand the Hightower move as well as the moves with the DBs. Honestly when it comes to Tim I feel bad for the guy as he worked so hard to come back only to be cut when it was clear he wanted to be here.

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread
They should go after Terrance Ganaway instead, RGIII would love that.

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread
SS quick question, now that a player is released he is free to join anyone's practice squad correct?

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread
Also is there a thought out there that they are willing to risk releasing Tim Hightower before week 1 only to resign him after game 1 so they would not have to guarantee his contract for the year?

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread
If they clear waivers and are eligible then yes. Good question on Hightower. I'm really curious on what they plan in doing with him. I might see him this weekend. If I do, I'll ask
