Kudos to the team, coaches and fans!! The one guy that was the only let down was madieu Williams, he flat out sucked.

Re: Redskins at Saints Post Game Thoughts
1) GREAT team effort. Just so refreshing to see the team not get down after little momentum changes. In the past that would have done us in.
2) Aggressive play-calling with the lead. A couple of times we got too comfortable and just ran it non-stop, but that play to Paulsen was great timing. 3) Secondary. For a guy who pretty much can move the ball at will, they shut him down for the most part. If we do this against Bradford next week, we should absolutely crush the Rams.

I really want to see Danny Smith replaced next year. Our special teams haven't won us many games and certainly have put us in some precarious situations. I can't remember a team with more blocks and weird special teams plays than the Redskins in recent memory...

Re: Redskins at Saints Post Game Thoughts
Many times I have been Kyle's critic. Not hatter, just critic.
Kyle impressed the heck out of me today. It was not because of his new toys but by the way that he used them. He ripped several pages out of the Baylor playbook, showing his flexibility. He made sure that Gryphon was comfortable and not overwhelmed. He called a good game in terms of play choice. It was Kyle's best game as our OC. Also, our front 7 players rule.

Re: Redskins at Saints Post Game Thoughts
It was all around team performance, well almost. Both offense and defense played well, most of us expected Brees to school our secondary but they contained him well. I credit Morris for preparing the secondary. Graham is simply too big to overcome so I'm not worried about those plays. Coaches planned it beautifully, although I was surprised to see how many time we used screen pass plays, but hey if it works then stick with it
If Redskins continue to play like they did in the game through out the year, we will have great season. |

Re: Redskins at Saints Post Game Thoughts
Imagine if Garcon had played the entire game. Probably would have scored more than 40 points!

Re: Redskins at Saints Post Game Thoughts
I think everyone played well, so all around kudos. I'd like to see the team complete more 3rd and short situations, I think we missed a lot of opportunities. Also, I'd like to see RG3 run a little less, otherwise he's going to get hurt.

Also, big ups to Cedric Griffin. I gave him a lot of sh*t during the preseason, glad to see him play well.

Re: Redskins at Saints Post Game Thoughts
One thought that came to me throughout the game was "Wow, this is what an NFL offense is supposed to look like".
Griffin played obviously ridiculously good. So did Cedric Griffin!(well just good) Our DL was getting great pressure up the middle. Garcon, if he stays healthy, can be better than what Santana was in his first year with us. Our secondary played decent, showed obvious weaknesses, but held up against drew brees. Madieu Williams is a 10 year vet, he should know how to locate a ball by now. Sucks that Bernsteins hurt, he was good depth. Who was the safety we had in preseason that was challenging for a roster spot? We should consider resigning him or looking at some safeties as depth on the market (Charlie Peprah, Nick Collins, Atogwe)

Shanny said it was the top of the foot and could not get back in due to soreness.

Re: Redskins at Saints Post Game Thoughts
Xrays negative. He said he wants to play next week and plans to.
Also last thought of mine is now that we won, lets see how we do against a Rams team that had a let down on the road today against the Lions. Seems like a trap game for us to potentially lose after coming off a great win.
