VT-

On that play I actually thought there was a lane straight up field before he rolled so far out to try to find a receiver.

Also agree with you on a fine and I am a little surprised there wasn't a flag... but oh well I think it could have gone easily one way or the other with the unnecessary roughness call not a big deal to me.

If it were me, Grossman would have been the #2 QB who could step in if RG3 went down during the game because (as much as everyone think he sucks) he's been in this league for a decade and can step in to live game action cold. Then I start prepping Cousins all week to be the starter the following week

That said, I think RG3 will start (but I think if he didn't I'd go with Kirk)

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts

It felt to me in the fourth quarter the stage was to big for Cousins. I thought he would have gained some confidence in going out there and hitting the big play to Moss. He looked like a 4th round rookie in the fourth. Those two picks were terrible.

SS- after stating that you are right about using Rex in an in game situation due to his knowledge of the offense.

It also shows us just how good we have it at QB with the starter.

Kirk Cousins = next Tom Brady. He already has the hair, number, being a backup and college conference down. Super Bowl! Haha

We haven't talked about it much, but I brought it up in the game day thread...twice Madieu Williams had relatively easy interceptions but instead went for the big hit and had the football bounce off of him. The first was just before a TO anyway. But still, he needs to be more aware

Serious question: are there any pieces of the current team we can off load for picks this upcoming week? Like, someone could use Santana Moss or Fred Davis right? We need the picks.

Maybe Wilson or someone could draw a return. We need to keep our good players, but at the same time, it only makes sense if we'll be competing with them this year.

Jets could use a WR...but no we don't need to trade anyone this week for middle of the road picks

No logic in ur comment, especially since he has at times slung this team over his shoulder almost on a weekly basis, and won the game, or at least willed the team and gave us a shot at the win.

I would go so far as to say he absolutely would have won this game in the fourth. So dumb to say it doesnt matter - yeah because based on what we have seen he would have missed a wide open miss and thrown at least two picks. Oh my god!?!

Perhaps. But I think even before the injury it was RG3's worst performance of the season. Unless they went Jordan Triangle in the 4th, I'm not sure Griffin would have been the reason for the win

It was ATLs gameplan to kill the clock and keep RGIII on the sidelines. ATL knew the big play was there for the taking but, instead used a ball control offense to limit the Skins touches. RGIII attempted less than 20 passes. Ryan attempted over 50. Consequently, the game was close. Skins settled for not opening up the passing attack on first and second downs. Take that in consieration that they've been terrible on 3rd down all year. I said it before and maybe I cannot express it the best way but, the Skins showed their hand operating out of the I-formation so much. RGIII is handcuffed not operating out of the spread formations. Any QB is.

Many of his passes, even the completions, didn't look accurate. He was throwing low, throwing behind receivers. If I were to lay the smack down...RG3, Kyle Shanahan, Cundiff, and Madieu Williams would get it
