RGIIIs passes didn't "look" accurate? Dude was like 14/19. One low pass to Moss was perfectly placed, catchable, but was dropped. At least two others were catchable but dropped as well (Davis, Morgan possibly). You're probably thinking of a pass to Garcon that could've been a miscommunication. Did Ryan's passes look accurate? There were at least two circus catches by Jones, White or Douglas. And WTF was ATL doing throwing to an eligible OL twice in a game? Where they accurate passes too?

I agree. I thought we saw the game of an average QB out there. Also, he has to be smarter for his own hysical and mental health. On the play he got his concussion he should've just thrown it away or ran out of bounds ( he does this we probably get a late hit and a new set of downs).

That stood out to me as well. Receivers seemed to be spinning and turning on even short passes and screens. The play before RG3 got hurt would have been a TD if the pass wasn't thrown behind Garçon. Also, it seems like every pass is to the middle of the field 10-20 yards past the line of scrimmage. I feel like teams are going to take that part of the field away and force more throws to the sidelines and over the top.

i agree Griff needs to run out of bounds when there is no chance to get the first or TD, but from our view weather it be on tv or at the actual game we see much more than what his point of view is, I agree he needs to go out of bounds more but there is a very thin line between when you know and dont know if you can make a play and get the first or td especially when you are running as fast as these guys.

Up to that point Ryan was totally off his game. But you knew he'd get his head straight at some point and we'd lose (regardless of RG3's injury).

Once again we we're soundly outcoached in all phases of the game. The league has completely got Kyle's number unless he puts the game in RG3's hands.

After five games there are three resounding facts that any honest, intelligent observer has to make:

1) This defense is garbage compared to the one Mike and Bruce inherited.

2) Our best downfield targets are guys Mike and Bruce inherited. As I've said since the end of last season, Fred Davis is our best target and Moss second, though the way Kyle and maybe RG3 as a consequence force the ball toward other WRs, namely Garcon, our best WR isn't getting much work. Garcon just isn't very good.

3) And most importantly, the Skins are still far and away the worst team in the division.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but it has gotten almost ridiculous to come here (I won't even go in to ES) and read posts defending the Shanahans, or anything about the current regime. These guys (not the players) are losers, in every sense of the word.

We have RG3, but to save him we've got to get a real coaching staff and FO in place.
It sure is starting to seem like it. I mean they traded up for rg3. That is kind of a no brainer after rex/beck. We made a deal and got rg-3 Great. It sure is starting to appear thAt alot of other personnel decisions were just bad. If rg-3 doesnt play next week we Are going to see a real disaster of a team. A disaster of a team that is the brain child of shanallen. I know im going to hear every excuse in the world now about well if this guy wasnt hurt or this guy had just done this or its not the coaches fault that such in such was this and that. Of course shanny didnt miss a 31 yard fg. No but shanny chose the dude who did to be our kicker. Josh morgan and pierre garcon - thats where we spent our money? Oh wait josh morgan is an awesome blocker!?! I do not believe this team is ready to win next year. I really dont. Our defense is light years away. Our receivers are not that good. We have no kicker and our punter is not good either. We have very questionable depth on our o-line and absolutely no talent at rt. Thanks for alfred morris. Shanny could be a special running back scout. Lol. Call me debbie downer. Call me ignorant. Call me whatever you want. Coaching staff has to go. Now bring on the tongue lashing i am about to receive because it helps you vent your own frustration without having to bad mouth your team. Im a big boy. I can handle it.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts

I put a lot of today's game on the play calling on offense. In hindsight it may seem nuts but there had to be at least 4 or 5 times they cold have called the keeper off of the stretch on third and short and there was a ton of open field. Not converting on third downs was a killer all game.

Another big piece of my blame goes to Mike and Bruce. If by now they haven't been able to replace Reed Doughty it is a failure on their part. I know he's a backup safety but he's a bad one. He is simply a liability whenever he gets on the field. It's not his fault that he gets put in positions that he is not capable of performing in. He doesn't belong on an NFL roster. Same thing with our kicker situation and the RT position. Utter failure on all three counts. Inexcusable that we haven't had a reliable kicker since Moseley. Polumbus was awful, simply awful all season. It was negligent to resign Jammal Brown last season. They should have addressed this by now. It's been since about 2006 when Jansen was still healthy when this position wasn't a huge problem for this team.

I've been a Shanny backer but said at the season outset that my judgement starts this season and today wasn't a good day for him.

Im not seeing that. Goat is unhappy with the shanahans. He is saying he cant stand people getting their backs every time they lose ( which is alot). He made the statement than an intelligent observer must see points a b and c? Im not sure where i see him calling anyone names or stupid? Hes pleading his case thats all?

I'm upset that we lost today, but... I'm not going to get all butthurt.

I think Mike is doing a fine job. I think some of us are being waaay to critical of this man. Of course your going to say that he missed on situations, but it's the nature of the game.

let's just all hug eachother and wish for a better sunday

friendship!

p.s sorry i've been drinking

Dont forget mcnabb or cundiff or all thr others moves or draftpicks that didnt work out. Sit down and go over every draft pick and free agent signing made by shanny since he got here. More wrongs than rites. It would be an absolute calamity if shanny fails and you know it. The guy has one playoff win in 14 years. What makes you so sure he is on the verge of winning games?. I think you overcome your fear of having to start over again with a new regime by ripping goat or me or anybody who doubts shanny. Are you THAT SURE that this team will be winning in year five????

Well see my issue is when people are already like well Garcon, Morgan, Cousins...all wasted moves. Or when trading an end of the bench DB for John Beck is some major disaster. And I would bet that even the best GMs you could think of likely have more wrongs than rights. Every one here praises Beathard to no end...but he failed repeatedly with his personnel decisions.

I can't see the future, but I would put my money on yes. He said 5 years, and we are already winning. 2-3 is not 1-4, or 0-5.. This is the NFL, and there is not one team that is perfect. I didn't see the the Falcons board screaming to fire their offensive cordinator because they had two plays that threw passes to a backup center.

Shanahan came in and said it would take 5 years. I'm willing to give him that. He's done a lot of good for this franchise and we are currently 1 game out of the division lead.

I have a strong feeling if we win next week, and go in to NY the following with the division lead at stake. The vibrations of failure could change around here.

Everyone is so easy to scream failure. I understand everyone has different opinions, but this day and age NFL isn't perfect.. People and teams will get better or worse. I believe we are getting better.

Packers got beat by the Colts yesterday, and they are now 2-3.. The worse team in the NFL last year just beat the team that was in the Superbowl. I believe we were an injury away from perhaps winning against a team that is now 5-0 this year.

We are not as far off as people think in my opinion.

I thought the Giants won the superbowl last year, and represented the NFC.............I may be wrong on that?
