There's always next year.
On the flip side if he can go by all means let him play.

Obviously there's no serious damage so if he just has to deal with some pain I'd expect him to be in there.

You seem to think sitting rg3 next week increases the liklihood hell have long term success. We didnt draft him to sit if hes healthy. Besides, Rg3 needs to play so he can practice sliding feet first.

Adrenalin pumping, of course he's gonna want to stay in.

Looking at the scores and schedules today I think the only way we make the playoffs is to win the division, and even if we win out that's not guaranteed. NY is more likely to win out than we are even given their schedule. Regardless, there will be a 10-6 team to miss the playoffs probably.
Yeah its unreal but that horrible call by the replacements for Seattle might come back to haunt a few teams including us. Ugghh.
Edit: check the giants schedule. Falcons , ravens, eagles > browns, eagles, cowboys imo.

I would start Cousins next week, let's see how RGIII feels in a week. If he feels fine, I would dress him as the backup. I'm sure he'll be sore and probably won't admit it, that was a vicious hit he took.

Glad RG3 is ok. He has got to start sliding feet first.

They will probably do that but Shanny will probably call it a game time decision just to make the Browns prepare for both.

If Snyder/FO expects RG3 to be our franchise QB for more than a few years we have run a traditional offense that protects the QB. It's that simple. RG3 will always be a running threat, but it can't be a main ingredient of the offense.
I wouldnt say running for his life. That makes it sound like the protection broke down and he was getting chased and hammered in the back field. He was making a play. A big play. Its hard to ignore or ask him to ignore the talent he has with those wheels. Its a double edged sword because most qb's just cant make those plays. He can. They should seriously consider bringing in someone from the Nationals to show him how to slide feet first.

Almost all of RGIII's hits came b/c he was holding the ball too long or trying to make a play out of the pocket. He's always going to be fighting for extra yards, he just needs to be a little smarter about it. From what I could tell, it mostly was NOT the O-line's fault (of course the were not blameless but, for the most part, they gave him time.

Pretty much spot on.

I was yelling at the TV with RGIII holding the ball so long on the sacks he took. He's a rookie, and I thought he played like one today. If one would look at the mere stats alone, you'd think he had a hell of a game. The reality of it is that he put up yardage, but he was 2-10 on 3rd down conversions today. He and the offensive unit got really no points off 2 turnovers provided by the defense. I think he played a shitty game besides the first quarter and a half to be honest. Said it before, the game isn't won on how many yards you accumulate, it's won by sustaining drives and scoring. Our 3rd down conversion is horrible, and he was 3-10 for the game. (Kurt was 1-1)

All that said, if this is a shitty game by RGIII, I'll take it over a John Beck shitty game, or a Rex Grossman shitty day. RGIII's off games are better than most QB's good days.

I'm curious to see the All 22 and see if the receivers really weren't getting open, and if that's why he held on to the ball so much

Very well could be. The field was no doubt wet, and it could have played a part in their breaks. If anybody watches this in All 22, please report back. Thanks.

Man those six points were crucial in the game. Better than not converting either or only one. With two TDs we win going away and RG III doesn't get hurt trying to make a big play down with under two minutes to play.

When I made the statement that he and the offensive basically got no points, that was in reference to them scoring any TDs off of it. I was giving the 6 points to the special teams. :P Need to capitalize on turnovers and on 3d downs. Not going to win much if we continue this trend.

I agree with you overall in that those 6 points were crucial to this game. Probably why Kobra Kai walked out of the locker room with the game ball.
