I think we give up some of the runs in order to play deeper and prevent big plays. did torrey smith have any catches?

Smith had one catch, however Boldin had 2 long TD's.

The story up here is that Torrey Smith is struggling with reading Flacco's release and has been misjudging the location of the ball recently. As happened in the first quarter when he slowed and Wilson caught up with him even though he had everyone beat.

Flacco underthrew that. Had he thrown it in stride, that goes for 6. That isn't on Smith. Can't speak about him misjudging the ball recently, but that didn't appear to be the case today. Flacco's main problem is his consistency.

I disagree Smith slowed and then had to accelerate to catch up to the ball. Regardless I think the problem for them does stem from Flacco inaccuracey on the long ball, but if you get a chance to watch any more Ravens games watch Smith's reactions to the throws. Something definitely is up on that end as well.

Flacco should have led him on that throw though. I blame Flacco a lot more, he needs a lot of time to make throws.

Bottom line is we beat the SB champs last week and a team that should have been in the SB. To me there really isn't anything to bitch about....not the run d, or the secondary, or whatever...what this team has done the last two weeks is pretty damn impressive.

Just saying. Sometimes shit happens no matter what you do.
Well if he slid feet first it wouldnt have. Your rite i mean hes a qb in the nfl so injuries are lurking around every corner. But he slid in such a way that his legs were flailing around in the air and he was in a vulnerable position.

How can you tell?

He was starting to go into a slide against Atlanta when he got clocked.

Sliding doesn't protect you 100% from injury. Guys can still hit you on the way down or late. Ngata wasn't going to let up, he would have him hit regardless.

seriously agree. we win 3 in a row against the division and beat a 9-3 team while losing our stud qb. our kicker is on fire, and our team is winning with heart. gotta say u can see good things going forward.

I think we all can agree on one thing here.

Mike Shanahan saying its time to start evaluating players was the best thing that could happen to this team.

Should have made the "evaluation speech" before the first game. Would have saved us a lot of grief...
