I dont think we'll hear anything until his surgery is done.

I have heard that it is a better situation if its only a partial tear to the acl and I've heard that's what Robert is hoping for. If you go back to the first giants game I remember being scared on a fumble and he went down awkward and his knee bent similar to the way it did Sunday but he got up and was fine. You can see the play on the highlights if that game, I'm hoping it looked worse then it is and it's just partial. fingers crossed. If not, I have tremendous faith in Robert to work hard and come back even better, he has the drive.

They had a orthopedic surgeon on Sirius XM NFL Radio this morning who said just the contrary. If it is completely torn they can do surgery to reattach the muscle to the bone. If it is a partial tear, surgery can most likely not be done and the ACL can not repair itself due to its place on the inside of the knee, basically giving you a weakened joint until you completely tear it. The MCL and LCL which are on the outside of the knee can repair themselves with therapy and treatment. That prognosis scared me. I hope it is just his LCL and not his ACL being partially torn as previously speculated.

I read the a big benefit to a partial tear is that your ACL has nerves in it, so keeping your own ACL allows you retain a sense of feeling in your knee you would otherwise lose if you had a complete tear/replacement. Kind of like how you hear about athletes who have trouble "completely trusting their knee", if you have a replacement ACL your brain doenst get any feed back. However, RGIII already had a replacement so i dont think this would matter?

Also heard, your ACL is made up of different parts (2 i think?), and if its a partial tear which is isolated you can replace just the part that was torn.

Regardless of what the injury is, its pretty much certain that Griffin will miss all of the offseason, pre-season, and atleast some of the regular season - and that's the best case scenario.

I'm honestly hoping that the injury is such that he's out all of next year. If the skins and Robert have even a glimmer of hope he can play in 2012, he'll rush back and get hurt again. I'm 100% convinced of that.

As far as i'm concerned, unless his injury is minor and he's FULLY recovered and truly 100% healthy by the time training camp starts, then id rather him rest his knee the whole year. Come back in 2014 fully recovered where the knee isnt even a concern. We've been burned once by rushing him back. We shouldnt let it happen again.

Well be fine with Cousins in 2013.

This. 100% feel the same. I obviously am hoping that the injury is not major and he can heal over the next 2-3 months, and be 100%. I do not want him rushing back though, even if he missed all of next season he'd still only be TWENTY FOUR when 2014 starts. The kid has a bright bright, long future... just hate to see something like this really screw that up.

Well as I have taken all this in I'm kind of pissed this has happened. First I'm ticked Snyder and the front office would allow the field to get so bad. Second for the coaching staff to allow him to stay in the game after the half. Is there anyone here that did not wonder why he was still in the game come the 4th qtr and the lack of any production. Third we have CC for a reason and we did not trust him to go out and win the game when he was needed. I'm sure CC wondered the same thing and his confidence took a hit.

I sure would have like to seen the final score if the D had held them on the 3rd and 12 early in the game being up 14-0.

RGIII will be fine.

Captain Kirks confidence is fine. BTW didnt he have two chances to drive down the field. Wasnt happening against that D.

Not fair to use those 2 drives as a good example. By then, their main weapon (Morris) had been taken out of the equation because they were 10 points down and HAD to throw. You can't allow that defense to pin its ears back and rush the passer and expect good results. Had they brought him in earlier, it could have meant the difference in how the game was played out. Not even going to mention WRs dropping balls (cough...Hank...cough).
