think the td pass to Cooley was a bad decision. There was somebody(not sure who) wide open on about the three yard line with nobody between him and the goal line. He could have walked in but Ramsey threw the ball up for grabs fortunatly Cooley made that terrific catch.
Ifa, mighta, woulda, coulda... It was a TD. Period. I would like to know when scoring was a bad thing? Just like the "underthrows" - sometimes the underthrow is used as a specific technique depending on coverage that allows your reciever a better chance on the ball, teams practice it. Heck - I am just glad we are getting long completions.

Pretty soon folks will be bashing Santa for still using the outdated "chimney method"...or not rotating his reindeer as much as he should

I agree PR looked alot better at getting time in the pocket and not getting sacked.

Re: Pocket Poise

Let's say for a second he dumps it off to the lead-footed Sellers. There would have been a swarm of defenders on him in a heartbeat, I'm not even sure he would have gotten in. Then we'd be saying why didn't he toss it up to his boy Cooley?! Cooley is money in the endzone!

It was a nice TD pass, end of story. We should be debating things that went wrong, not things that went right.

Re: Pocket Poise

How many jumpballs have Culpepper thrown to Moss while he was covered? I'm pretty confident Cooley will catch most of passes thrown to him if he's in one-on-one coverage. I'm not comparing Cooley to Moss. I'm just saying QB's develop a trust with a receiver that they will catch majority of passes thrown to him....and that's what Ramsey did.

Re: Pocket Poise

Last year we would have complained that Ramsey and company were not taking enough chances at getting the ball in the endzone, and now we're talking about us being more conservative! Sellers MIGHT have gotten it in the end zone, then again, he might not have. All in all, I think it shows alot of character that Ramsey is wanting to go for the six instead of being happy with three points. Sometimes, you take the chance at letting your receivers make the play.....sure you can get burned, but I like the idea of being aggressive!

Re: Pocket Poise

aggressive yes, but every time Ramsey gets a pick its cuz he's being "aggressive" and so far, thats the biggest knock against him.

if you take a look at the play again, Sellers couldn't have been more open and nothing was going to stop him getting into the endzone.
