Re: The Moves We Should Make Next Year (merged)
I'm a big Trent Green fan. But does Damon Huard's success this year speak more about his abilities or less about Green's?

Green isn't going to fall to a #3 QB, let's get real here.
He's still starting quality and at worst a very solid #2. |

From what I've read KC has scaled back their offense quite a bit for Huard. Plus that offense is all about LJ regardless of who the QB is.

The coach watches each of them all week during practice. I would guees their play during the weeks speaks for itself. Is that why Green isn't starting?

That would make sense. It is after all, no longer Vermeil/Saunders' offense.

Re: The Moves We Should Make Next Year (merged)
So long as Gibbs has final say over personel decisions we are going no where, at least talent wise, the buck stops with him, so AA, AC, JC, and RM [who the vertic is still out on] will continue to happen, not to mention his continued delusion that brunell is an NFL qb, the old dog will continue to return to his vomit, and continue to throw draft after draft away. After all if you are incapable of evaluating NFL established talent how in the world are you going to be able to evaluate talent coming out of college? Which is a huge reason Gibbs is so giddy about free agency to begin with.
We are right now poised to sink even further into obscurity if J.Campbell doesn't pan out, let's face it how long do you think Gibbs stick's with him if he can't handle the NFL? Will he give him 3 years like Brunell, or 3 minutes like Ramsey? Something tells me he will have just as tough of a time admitting Campbell is a bust [if it turns out that way] as he has had with Brunell. So for all the experts out there who feel it is neccesary for a QB to have at least 2 years of playing experience, well you better hope Brunell can win the big one this year because we will be waiting quite a while for JC to actually be ready to take this team to a SB, that's if he's even capable of playing the position in the first place. Personally if it's taken him this long and he has yet to force himself onto the field especially considering what's playing in front of him, then how long will it take before JC master's an actual game? I don't even want to think about it. As for Trent Green obviously some one from our scouting department must be posting here, the guy is going to be 37, he is right now being outplayed by a journeymen QB, he will not win his job back, and we want to take on that cast off? Does anyone think about building for the future? It's like george Allen never left. Byron Leftwhich? Give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Isn't it ironic that although most Skins fans would like to see a QB change that Brunell is actually ranked #8 in the NFL? I know it's because he doesn't throw a lot of INT's and that figures heavily into the equation but most people would I think like a QB change. |

I went to nfl.com and they show Prioleau on the roster still. Isn't he out for the year? Having him go down was a big blow to our defense. Hope he will be back better than ever next year.

Re: The Moves We Should Make Next Year (merged)
its funny to me how people are all for cutting half the team and upgrading. Guys like springs, jansen, and wynn are important to the team in bigger capacities than just on the field. We all saw what happened when one guy was cut from the secondary...do we really want to overhaul the whole team again. Keep as many players as you can, only sign new guys you have to bring in. For all the complaining about the front office of this team, many people on this board are just as bad. Signing a probowl player at every position doesn't always work.
