How,I mean he couldn't lead the team he's been on and with coachs he knows for years to the(back to) super bowl what makes you think he can do it with an O and terminology and personel he isn't use to?

Re: Favre seeks release from Packers (updated)

Just finished watching Giants at Packers NFC Championship game. Favre looked pretty darn good (and lucky) most of the game. I think the Packers are fools to not take him back. I'd take him over Eli or Aaron Rodgers any day of the friggin week!

I think you're due some change back.

Re: Favre seeks release from Packers (updated)

At least now we can firmly say that Favre is definitely not coming here. Not with our current cap situation.

No joke - JT sealed the deal on that one.

After only 20 pro starts? I think you didn't have much patience to begin with.

I might have agreed with you before the playoffs last year but nope not now.

Seriously...I don't understand some fans' aversion to letting a QB develop.

How many starts she we give him before he's deemed ineffective? 30, 40, or 50?

Re: Favre seeks release from Packers (updated)

Two full seasons under the same offense, as the starter.

By the end of this season we'll have a good idea of where we stand with him.

Well, I think the things that made Favre great, you can't teach. IE: Heart, tenacity, longevity. If you actually follow Brett, you know he makes a ton of dumb mistakes...meaning I would not really want him as a QB coach. Taking chances and throwing off his back foot were all monikers of his game that I don't want JC picking up.

I don't know if you can teach recklessness.

"Hey Jason, that last one was a sack you didn't need to take. Back in my day, we would all pop 12 vicodin pills before the game, and then right before I got drilled, I'd toss the ball in the air off my back foot in the direction of the tallest guy on my team. It worked pretty well for me, I suggest you give it a try."

Access Vikings: » Blog Archive » Report: Packers have Favre’s phone records

Note to Brett Favre:

When you are trying to be sneaky and cut yourself a deal with the Vikings, don't call Brad Childress or Darrell Bevell on the cell phone the PACKERS give you.
