Even Floyd whathisname said that was an awful lot of money for someone "chasing the money".

The Redskins already have players like Canty. Andre Carter is a similar player who can stand up and block some passes from the line of scrimmage. The Redskins need players who will scare quarterbacks. Canty's not one of those guys.
Andre Carter is 253 lbs, Canty is 302ish lbs, how is that similar? Canty is good against the run, Carter isn't. Other than the money issue, I really don't get Moseley.

I think he meant tackles, although that's a big mistake. Yeah, we want to not pursue a guy that can put up 6 sacks a game. LOL. Heck, I'll take 6 to 7 tackles a game too, and I think Canty can be successful with our team, Moseley is just being his old biased self.

He might have meant 6 or 7 sacks a season, which still inst too bad.

how many DEs can get 96-112 tackles a year? that'd be a great reason to pay him top dollar, not shy away.

it's probably sacks per season, but he'd be the big guy to take space for JT and carter or whatnot - which definitely IS NOT a sack heavy position.

who cares about timmy h...and it's like the only signing so far so of course it will get mentioned. Hall will not be the only overpaid player when its all said and done.

LOL

from the above link:

"This is a club that desperately needs to improve its pass rush (28th in the league in sacks). Canty is a versatile guy who can move inside in the nickel and do a nice job. He's also decent against the run. But he's another guy who might have six or seven sacks a game at the most."

I'm pretty sure he meant tackles... I hope lol

Matt Mosley's post on Canty = Epic Fail.
