Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
But hey, at least you can adopt the Bears now and enjoy their 7 win season.

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
Vinny and Danny have learned their lesson. They've realized the error of their ways and nixed this trade.
Thanks god Chicago gave up too much for this guy. He's good but that's a lot. I can't wait to hear VC spin this. I can hear him now brushing it aside like it was due dilegence. |

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
Vinny wasn't really responsible for this though. He's been loyal to Campbell all along. Vinny is a football guy, but he's also a Snyder subordinate. This was simply a conflict of interest of the two.
Kudos to Zorn for hanging in there with Campbell, even though he very well could have been released by the end of the day.

Did I say Thank Goodness yet! just want to say it one more time, I am glad Cutler did not come here. Not to mention JC's interviews and overall class act. Now, Let Zorn and JC get it going and hopefully prove their supporters right!

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
Jason Campbell is pretty much my favorite player in the NFL now.

Yeah seriously, I would love to see him blow the doors off the league this year and force Danny to open that wallet wide open.

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
come on seriously, we won't be much better. There is a reason why chicago gave up so much for this guy he is a stud! And campbell isn't obviously denver didn't want campbell they took orton!! So when we have an average o again next season we will cut him and then what?? Colt brennan?? Or do we draft a qb this year... Again the skins won't have a franchise qb anytime soon.

If you were to guarantee me his health, I would say with 100% statistical confidence that it will happen. I just can't promise his Washington career won't end with his leg bending the wrong way.

Word...I honestly can't think of a player, let alone a QB, who is more deserving.

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
There's a number of things that I can say about this whole situation.
Jason Campbell has been treated unfairly, but whether he was staying with the redskins or going somewhere else - at least he was going to be given a starting role with a team and given a chance to show what he has. Whether it is unfair or fair - it appears the job of quarterback in Zorn's offense is to be the leader period. Whether he is put in a position to win is not the question; it's what he does with his situation. There's something to be said for being patient and for showing loyalty to a player for the team that you are rooting for - but I believe that you can show that you are a great player in one season, not three, not two, not one and half seasons - but ONE season. That's all it takes. I like Jason Campbell - but he needs to just do what he needs to do. I believe wholeheartedly that if you put in the work that the results will follow - so far the results have been 50/50, so the work put in... |

Cutler is Campbell. He's white, a bit shorter, and more careless/aggressive. They're both good. I like Cutler. You never, ever give two firsts for a largely unproven QB. Just like no team should give two firsts for Campbell, no team should have given two 1sts for Cutler. Supposedly, we did offer that, and the Bears went over the top. Let me ask you this, if Cutler was truly the next coming of Manning, why in the world would Denver give him up? He apparently isn't enough of a franchise QB to act like a spoiled brat, and still keep his job.

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago
I didn't say he was going to be manning, but he is a top young qb and i doubt campbell is! Plus cutler had no running game last year and he still was a pro bowler.
