As long as Snyder and Cerrato are at the helm I see them pulling this crap every 3-4 years just because they can. At some point no one will want to go (unless all they want is the big bucks) and stay with our franchise. We are like mice on a wheel we just keep going round and round and ending up nowhere!
A lot of teams have gone after new QB's, it's definitely not unique to us. I mean I feel bad for Campbell, but sympathy doesn't go far in the league.

If I were Campbell's agent, there is no way in hell I would let him go out there with the same O-line and get killed this year, only to be released after the season. Other teams know this, and will probably not offer more than a 4th for him, because at this point, Vinny is going to be desperate to get rid of him. I was hoping this kind of bullshit was a thing of the past for the skins, oh well. What a joke.

I don't think Campbell would do that. If Sanchez is drafted by somebody else, Campbell is our starter, no questions asked. I don't think it would be in Campbell's best interest to demand a trade if he is guaranteed a starting job here. Even if it is just for one more season. Plus, Its not up to Campbell where he goes if he demands a trade. We could send his ass to Oakland or somewhere like that if he goes all Jay Cutler on us.

Pretty much having to trade Campbell, we won't get shit for him. We'll be lucky to get a 3rd.
This is kind of what I expect to happen. Somebody else will jump over us, grab Sanchez and we'll be left trying to repair an irretrievably broken relationship with our starting qb. At that point, we might as well start Colt because JC is NEVER going to sign here again.

You beat me to it. The only thing that I would like to add is that he is not a pretty scrambler and he doesn't know how to slide, but you cannot argue his effectiveness in those situations. I am just scared that he is going to get killed running down field one of these days"

I don't see that happening. TB signed Leftwich. Can anyone really say there is a huge difference in caliber of qb between BL and JC? Enough to drop a first for JC and what is arguably a 3rd/4th receiving option? I say that would never happen.

I beleive that Doug Williams is having Dejavu seeing the alot of the same things he went through on his way to us, and has a good feeling about JC, plus they need another reciever oppiste Bryant, so it would solve 2 holes for them with one pick. Or hell i would even giveem moss and JC for there first

Unless we draft Sanchez and then trade Campbell for a first (obviously wont happen) or high 2nd, I will not be happy.
I wish that we'd wait till next year to address QB if it was necessary. We'll have more picks to offer to move up if we need to and be able to put off any next year picks till 2011.

You can make the case that you don't always need a great O-Line though, see Pittsburgh and Arizona, the Super Bowl teams. Though Arizona had more vertical targets and Pittsburgh's defense was amazing. Not to advocate ignoring it by any means.

Yeah and it's one of the most falsely accused crimes as well.

He can demand all he wants; what's he going to do, sit out?

Interesting scenario.. I can't see us starting Colt with Campbell here since we're all win now now now, but if we knew we wouldn't re-sign him then it'd be smart to see what we have in Colt, he might not be ready, but you could say the same for Sanchez and many others
