He's like a car: tumbles in value when you drive it off the lot

Trade DT for a 3rd to 5th round pick, and next year use one of our top picks on AJ Green. That dude is a total freak of nature. Skins need to wait this thing out and draft young talent next year. Shanny and Allen are doing the right thing by not jumping the gun to sell picks for Vincent Jackson or one of these other potential locker room problems.

Nobody is giving up a 3rd, 4th or 5th round pick for Thomas.

This just brings me back to the past offseason... If we would've just brought in T.O. when we had the chance, this DT situation wouldn't be talked about like this.

Agreed 100%. We'd be lucky for a conditional 6th. I say keep him for return/ST duties and as a 5th WR. No real value in a trade in my opinion.

Re: RUMOR: Skins Want To Deal Devin Thomas

It seems like, atleast recently, that talented wide receivers can be had in FA and trades. I know this year was an abnormality but Holmes for a 5th, b marshall for a 2nd (or was it 2 2nds?), housh FA, Boldin for a 2nd or 3rd rounder (steal, that guy is a pro), TO FA, and Im sure there were a couple more.

Just seems like proven wide receivers can be had on the open market vs taking a gamble on drafting a receiver.

Id much rather trade a 2nd rounder next year for someone like v jax vs spending a 2nd on a wide receiver in the draft and hoping for the best. IDk maybe im jaded by vinny's obsession with jacobs, kelly, thomas, russell, etc.

Probably the answer. Michael Westbrook looked good at first, until he went psycho like a lady in a chocolate shop.

At least we're not the Lions, wasting top 5 picks almost EVERY YEAR and they're all busts. They may have finally found someone in Calvin Johnson after about 10 tries.

If it is true that Shanny looks to get rid of him because of the offseason training program, that is trully sad and rediculous.

Re: RUMOR: Skins Want To Deal Devin Thomas

Other than Randy Moss, what wr can you name that was just flat out awesome in his first year in the league? It seems like year 3, they all start to come alive. Ok maybe Anquin Boldin had a great rookie year as well. Its just hard to draft good WRs.

Listed as a TE on fantasy football...I had him on every team...was completely unfair but I loved it.
