I think he is saying that it took until week 9 to determine that our season was over, as opposed to past years where usually by week 4 or 5 its obvious that we are not a playoff team.

This season is far from over.

If things dont change, within 3 weeks we could be mathmatically eliminated.

Even at 4-7 we wouldn't be eliminated. That stuff doesn't happen til the end or if you've won 1-2 games. Remember in 2007 we were sitting at 5-7 before going on a run.

Just listening to Ross Rucker and Peter King call it assanine that anyone should be concerned or making a big deal out of this Russell workout.

Agreed 100%. If anything I'm happy the FO is doing their due diligence. Sadly more fodder for the media during the bye week to try and drum up controversy.

I just had someone on another board tell me that Sports Center this morning said that McNabb was out of Washington and Russell was in! LOL! I have looked all over the internet for this, namely ESPN.com, and I see nothing of the sort. I think it was a classic case of someone hearing the words "McNabb" and "Out" and not the rest of the stuff.

McNabb is out cuz he went home to Arizona for the bye. Russell is in cuz the twinkie convention just started at the DC armory.

I'm not at a TV so I wanted to make sure. I would have been extremely surprised if this was true.

If McNabb was cut and we signed JR, my first thought would be ahhh I get it, I'm dreaming. Time to wake up.

The radio station this morning, 610AM, which is a local sports station, said that Russell had been offered a 3 year contract for 2.5 million a season + incentives, but it is believed he will workout with 2 more teams this week before deciding.

He apparantley had a great workout they said. Zipped the ball well, and moved alot better. He is apparantly in much better shape than when he was with Oakland.

If we were to sign Russell, my guess is the QB depth chart will look a little less sexy

Re: Skins work out JaMarcus Russell (and a bunch of other free agents)

so we would cut the guy we benched a 5 time pro-bowler for in order to make room for a 300-lb bust with a horrible work ethic?

if this happened, the only logical explanation would be that, in the year 2050, an old vinny cerrato transferred his consciousness into a killer cyborg that looks like mike shanahan back, then traveled back in time to kill the present day to kill mike shanahan and assume his identity. of course, this only goes to show how inept cerrato really is. he could have just gone back in time to tell his former self not to make the dumb moves that got him fired in the first place.
