If Luck is comin out this year, I wouldn't put it past the Skins to make a play for him. The most encouraging factor in that is that Allen will get a much better deal than vinny would've. |

Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
I may be really, really wrong about this but Locker seems a little Shuler-ish for my taste. I don't see him looking down the field, don't see him reading the defense, it's one read and fling or one read and go. His 'speed' will get eaten up at the next level (see Smith, Alex) and I don't see any other elite tools.. Are you seeing the same thing or what's your scouting report?

Carolina has Jimmy Clausen, so I don't believe they would be making a play for any other QB in the draft this year. You are correct though, Carolina isn't exactly a big market.

Yeah but if you think Carolina would rather have a guy like Clausen over Andrew Luck I want what you're smokin. Fox will be gone after the season, and Clausen was Fox's guy. The next coaching staff will feel no obligation to Clausen and I'd bet the next coaching staff will be hired with regards as to who would make the best coach for Luck. The whole point will be moot if Luck goes back to school for next season anyways.

The way I see it is, if Locker didn't do as well this year as last because his team wasn't as good, what does that say about him? He's only as good as his supporting cast. Last I checked, he wouldn't have a good supporting cast in Washington for a couple years.... If we are lucky.

Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
I disagree, in philly history they've been known not to break the bank on a 30 year old player, and Mike Vick will be looking for one thing only next year, a big pay day, i promise he will not be loyal to a team, he still in debt and needs to get back on track in his life by catching up on his bills and im sure he go to the highest bider........ plus he mobile like Shanhan like, plus he is playing his best ball....... dropping, AH, DMC, CP, S.Moss maybe even letting a aging fletcher walk, they wouldn't have to give up draft picks, just make the highest bid for him..... I can see a 6-7 year contract......

Most are projecting him in the mid to late 2nd round. Knock on him is he doesn't wow you physically and he may be as good as he's going to be. I'd love to be able to trade down in the 2nd, add a pick and get Ponder

Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
This may be foolish, but what about trading Albert, and our 2nd for Klausen, and Carolina's 3rd?
They can get Luck in the 1st round, pick up a DT for their 4-3 defense, and another 2nd. We would get a yound promie QB, 3rd round pick, and pick up some good talent in our top 10 pick? |

Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
Well.. If we are not going to get Luck.. Then, I would rather have a QB who has alot of skill and a year under his belt then someone like Locker who is unproven.

2. When Skins traded for McNabb, they tried to get Philly to expand the deal and take Haynesworth off their hands. That was BEFORE all of the drama of the 2010 season. Philly - - ever so politely - - declined. So, what makes you think Haynesworth would be an asset in your proposed trade that would hold such value? 3. If Luck is in the draft, the team with the #1 pick will take him. They are not going to trade out of that slot.

Re: Who Will Be The Redskins 2011 Opening Day Starting QB?
One guy know here has mentioned, I don't think, who could attract a lot if attention next year us Carson Palmer. I'm not saying we will or should go after him, but he could influence the market
