Re: NFC East Chances
Don't remember if it was a up for grabs throw. It was definitely an ILL ADVISED throw.

Re: NFC East Chances
At any rate, Webster is their best corner. But Webster would be lined up across from Moss or Garcon. One of the NYG other CBs would be lining up across from Robinson when he gets into the game. It would surely be a mismatch.

Re: NFC East Chances
Good write up by DG, and right on the money for how we as fans feel. My friends and I have been saying all year that with Robert you are always waiting for something amazing and alway believe you can win. One guy has completely changed how I watch our games and has given me hope ( and change I can believe in )!
Awesome kid, also believe what he says in the article that if we win out we we are in. I believe in this team finally and look forward to many great years being led by our phenomenonal QB. Looking at the wildcard teams ahead of us there is a good chance they could all lose this weekend. The more I look at the 5 seed as well either the Pack or the Bears could fall back to the Pack. Also I believe that 10-6 will win the East by any of the three teams that have a numerical chance to finish with that record.

I actually think 9-7 gets us in so even if we don't win Monday I believe we r still alive. Seattle , TB and Min all have tough games tomorrow. But I do think we win Monday.

Re: NFC East Chances
I predicted playoffs before the season started, then I had my doubts after watching the D (injuries, bad luck, coaching). After the last 2 games I'm being hopeful again but there's still some doubt in the back on my mind, if the skins win on Monday night those doubts will be erased.

Re: NFC East Chances
I was thinking 8-8 before the season SM, and it still very well may be. After the season began I honestly believed playoffs maybe a reality till the three game slide. If the team plays as well as they have the last two weeks for the next five then playoffs are a real possibility.
9-7 is ok but we need all the divisional games and only to lose to either cle and bal. They may be able to get a wildcard based on how well they played the NFC and particularly in the division making our NFC East record 5-1. Overall NFC record would be 8-4.

Re: NFC East Chances
As a Redskins fan since 1972 I have seen our team highs and lows. I have seen every Super Bowl we have played in. I don't pretend to know what our final record will be at the end of this season or if we make the playoffs. I do know that we finally have a bona fide superstar QB in RGIII. This is the piece we have been missing since Joe Theisman. Yes Doug W. and Mark R. won super bowls but they were not franchise QB's. In this modern era of football yiu must have that guy under center. Regardless if we make the playoffs this season we are headed in the right direction. We must give Shanny a contract extention to keep this ship rolling and to allow RGIII to stay in the same system for years to come. HTTR

We're the same defense, its just that our offense has gotten so much better that we've turned into a New England/New Orleans of sorts. Great offense, poor defense. Our offense essentially is now our defense.

Their LB and secondary is pretty meh or average at best. They can do so much with their schemes due to the fact their front 4 can stop the run and get pressure on the QB on any given play. They really don't even need to blitz often with the talent they have on the DL.

Re: NFC East Chances
NFL - Playoff Scenario Generator- Yahoo! Sports
Using the generator, we have a chance if we beat NYG. Our remaining schedule is do-able. 1) NY Giants stumble & we win the division. Less likely, but possible since our schedule is easier than theirs - Dallas, Eagles, Cleveland on our sched. 2) If we don't win the divison, the only way to get in through the Wild Card race is to have Seattle lose 1-2 extra games down the stretch. |

Re: NFC East Chances
We've had some good luck with our teams losing. It would have been hard to have two weeks in a row where Seattle, Bucks, Saints and Vikings all lose. But we did have 7 out of 8 of those games go our way. Seattle's remaining schedule is so easy though.
