Re: Black Monday: NFL Coaches and Executives Carousel

I saw a Yardbarker headline that I can't read because I'm at work, but it said, and I quote,"
<LI class=first sizcache="994" sizset="0">Mike Shanahan won’t let son Kyle interview ..."
I know Yardbarker is pretty much a rumor site, that I never read because the only time I see its' headlines are at work, but could you expand upon that rumor SS? At first glance I would assume it's saying Mike won't let Kyle interview, either for a coordinator job or for a HC job. You heard anything about that?

The Jets, like most teams, need to make better personnel decisions. Step one was firing Tannenbaum. They have a pretty good defense and an okay running game. After QB, they need some playmakers on offense (besides Holmes).

Kyle Shanahan off limits until Redskins' season is over - Washington Times

Quote:
“At least my opinion, at least this is my feeling when I was an assistant, it’s not time to interview during the season,” Mike Shanahan said. “It’s time to concentrate on your job. After the season is over with, I think there’s plenty of time for all those things. That’s my gut feeling.”
He can't really stop Kyle once he's eligible to interview, but I suspect Kyle wouldn't without his dad's blessing

Wow. That would be a MAJOR blow to the organization. Id rather we promote Allen to Sr. Team President or something like that and promote Brown to be our GM.

We need to throw cash at him, or whatever else it takes, to keep him.

What has Moraco Brown done to get a bunch of warpath members in a tizzy about keeping him?

Do you like Bowen, Cofield and Wilson? He recommended them and was responsible for them being on the team.

Mort says Reid is close to a deal with KC, Tom Heckert would join him out there most likely

Whoa! Looks like AZ lost out on the Reid sweepstakes.

Via Schefter on Twitter
From @mortreport and me: Chiefs on verge of a deal with Andy Reid. One source said “the major issues have been discussed and agreed upon.”

So I guess that leaves Arizona holding the bag. Again. Reid is using this as a huge leverage.
