Re: Why I'm Not Gonna Panic About Our QB
Unless he has changed dramatically, I doubt that Incognito would be a good employee for any business. Pass.

Re: Why I'm Not Gonna Panic About Our QB
I think Gruden would be absolutely hammered by the media and fans as a 1 year coach if RG3 got injured in the preseason because he played him so much. However, he does need the reps badly. I also don't get the whole thing around the league where coaches don't run their offenses in the preseason. The players need practice! I think that outweighs the element of surprise for one game.

If you really want to know Grudens offense, then study the Bengals the last few years. If you are worried that Gruden will incorporate the read option, then study RG3 from 2 years ago. Its not like teams have 50 plays hidden that no one has ever seen before only to come up with 50 more the following year. |

Re: Why I'm Not Gonna Panic About Our QB
The right side of our line is bad. However, RG3 can help things out if he gets the ball out on time. If he doesn't then he's going to get sacked...a lot.

Re: Why I'm Not Gonna Panic About Our QB
The right side of our line right now is not giving RG3 any time to throw.

Re: Why I'm Not Gonna Panic About Our QB
In a specialized system, such as Chip Kelly's, sure I agree with that. But lets be honest, most offenses have been around long enough where a few series in the preseason isnt going to make enough of a difference to outweigh making sure you pick the best available players year after year. I believe preseason is more about judging talent than it is about judging play calling.

That's being overplayed. Robert is playing worse than the OL is. (or so in pre-season)

Re: Why I'm Not Gonna Panic About Our QB
It's not being overplayed because no one is talking about it in the media. I'm not absolving RG3 of his wrong doings, but the OL is not helping this team at all. Hell, we couldn't even get a running game going against the Ravens, and that's something we managed to do last year.

Remember how bad the O-line looked with Jason Campbell behind it and how great it looked with Todd Colllins behind it? Same O-line, totally different results.

Re: Why I'm Not Gonna Panic About Our QB
And on the last play, he had all day to throw and still missed Reed wide open right in front of his face. Running out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage, still can't slide and jumping in the air on throws have nothing to do with the O-line.

So Griffin is Campbell? And Cousins is Collins? Or is Griffin Collins and Cousins Campbell? Or is Colt McCoy Colt Brennan? I really can't wait to see what we look like in Huston, nothing else really matters stats or points wise in the preseason. RG is our guy and we have to behind him. If we get to the bye week and have 2-3 wins then you can start thinking of making a change. But it all really depends on how he looks.
