Obviously it wouldn't be ideal to lose to Buffalo this weekend, but none of the other NFC East teams are going to win out - so losing to an AFC team won't be the end of the world. We beat Philly it's over.

I say this mainly because I believe there is no way in hell this team loses to Dallas again. Of course anything is possible, and if for some sad reason they do lose to Dallas again, then they have no fight, no heart, and don't deserve to represent the division in the playoffs anyway.
I think the Giants *should* lose to Panthers and Vikings.

Eagles *should* lose to Cardinals.

If we beat the Bills that means we *should* expect to be going into Philly next Saturday with a 1 game lead in the division.

If we can beat the Bills & Eagles and end up 8-7, while the Eagles & Giants are both 6-9 going into their Week 17, then I that would make the game in Dallas meaningless since losing that one still leaves us with best record.

Honestly, I think if the 'Skins win their next two games there is a good chance the division is wrapped up due to who the Giants and Eagles still have to play.

Even if the 'Skins lose to the Bills, neither of the other teams are winning out, so it still makes the game in Philly the likely most important game remaining on the schedule.

That game could have been drastically different if not for the two very bogus calls. Especially the pick 6.

I am reminded of a story about Sammy Baugh:

Quote:
In the 1940 Championship game, the Bears recorded the most one-sided victory in NFL history, beating Washington 73–0. After the game, Baugh was asked what would have happened if the Redskins' first scoring drive had resulted in a touchdown. He shrugged and replied "What? The score would have been 73-7."

Lol. Little different. But i hear ya. I honestly feel like we knew we had to come out fast and play a perfect game. That was a 14 point swing n things were never the same.

Re: First place Redskins

How sweet would a playoff run that included beating the Seahawks at home, and Panthers on the road be. Even losing to Az in Az wouldn't be that bad at that point.

Ahh, koolaid ... filler up

Eff that how sweet would it be to beat Seattle, Carolina, Az, and New England and shock the world all before we are even re-built! If youre going to drink koolaid than you might as well really drink the hell out of it!

Re: First place Redskins

Jordan Breeland always might be one of our best picks at that position since Champ Bailey. We've drafted other CB's who seem to show promise as rookies but they either regress or can't adjust to how they are adjusted to.

Breeland seems like the real deal.

Re: First place Redskins

Isn't it nice?

One thing McC and gruden have done is get the lockerroom in a good place...also it seems like by getting rid of staff and players those leaks have dried up. I was so sick of that Kardashian-like bullshit before with the media and the players...the coaching staff and the media.

Seems like staff and players are focused on football..good stuff

Re: First place Redskins

Washington Redskins say play-calling system working 'smoothly' - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN

If you’re wondering about the play-calling process, it goes something like this: Offensive coordinator Sean McVay relays the call to the quarterback. Before that point, McVay, Gruden and line coach Bill Callahan will confer. Sometimes it’s before a series, with Callahan letting him know which runs he wants to use. Gruden said he might suggest which passes to use and third-down plays. Sometimes Gruden interjects and suggests a play. But then only one voice relays the play to the quarterback. “It’s been a pretty smooth deal for us,” Gruden said. “Whoever calls the play -- recommends the play -- is really insignificant. It’s about the execution of the play. We feel good about the way we’re executing the play-calling system.”
