Re: 2022 veteran QB options
If so I hope it’s Willis or Ridder. They both have legit arm talent. Tired of these QBs that we have who can’t stretch the field. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: 2022 veteran QB options
Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law - absolutely yes. However, that doesn't mean this franchise needs to trade for him and then find out whether he is innocent or guilty. It's too much of a risk. This definitely has to play all the way out to the point where the team knows the actual risk involved, before trying to trade for him. Maybe he's a sleazy guy who did nothing criminal. Maybe he's a sleazy guy who crossed the line into the realm of being a sexual predator. At this point, only a handful of people know which one he is...I'll pass until he is cleared.

Re: 2022 veteran QB options
Nobody is going to trade for him until it's clear jail time is out of the picture. If it's just civil liability plenty of teams will pounce.

Re: 2022 veteran QB options
I’d take Winston over Mitch and Teddy.. Fuck that noise. If Ron can’t get any better than Mitch that will show us all no QBs want to play for Turner

We keep talking about Trubisky but he is going to have options. There are going to be other teams that will want to sign him. We may be looking at someone like Bridgewater. |

Re: 2022 veteran QB options
I'm 100% out on Trubisky, dude is garbage, if he's the week 1 starter I'm seriously not watching. Just the sound of his name gets me ticked off. Can't wait until he signs somewhere else so we can stop hearing about him.
If we can't land any of the primo top dogs, just draft Willis. Trade up if you have to, you probably can't sit at 11 and expect to get who you want, got to be aggressive. The unknown factor of a rookie will get fans excited. A guy like Trubisky is such a yawner of a move and will almost guarantee Ron's ass will be on the hot seat in 2022. |

If we are going after the mitch level qb i say go for Winston and still draft a guy at 11.

Re: 2022 veteran QB options
With someone like MT the best case scenario is 8 or 9 wins and 1 and done in the playoffs. He's not a significant upgrade over TH so why even bother.

Re: 2022 veteran QB options
If we sign any of the second rate guys, we absolutely better draft a QB at 11, and no later than round 2.
Very interested to see how Carson Strong's medicals go. He is a stud, if his knee can hold up for 5+ years, I wouldn't mind going BPA at 11 and trading back up into the 1st to get him. Or trade down from 11, get extra picks, and then pick him.

We also need to win football games. If the veteran is playing better and gives us the best chance to win, week 1, he should play. The other guys want to win. The NFL isn't for making rookies feel good. Edit - the veteran is likely to be signed well before the draft too, I would think.

Totally agree with this because it is year 3. Would have been ok in year 1 or 2 but not now. |
