Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
He could but that really doesn't seem like his style, bottom line is Scherff's deal is coming first

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
If you pay Scherff 15M per, thats like 12.5% of the entire cap. Im not a fan of paying any G anything over 10M per. But under these circumstances, Id rather the Skins over pay a young really good player in Scherff.
We have so much money coming off the books with the future departures of Norman (12.5M cap savings), Kerrigan (11.75M), Trent (12.75M), Reed (8.5M) and Vernon Davis (4.9M). ^^ 50.4M that could and should be coming off the books for next yer as pre June 1 cuts. Problem is I dont trust the Skins to spend the money wisely on quality players so Id rather throw 15M per to Scherff with good guaranteed money. I 100% think we need to upgrade C, I think Roullier has been over valued by us and he seems to be better suited as a swing first-guy-up backup to LG-C-RG. I want a stud C, upgrade position and allows Roullier to become real good depth. |

He's probably gonna feign an injury by Week 11 or 12 and end up on IR the remainder of the season. Just trade him! |

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
+1
Ya boy is gonna show up and fake getting injured so he doesn't have to play. Why would he want to risk injury and his future playing for a 2 win team that he doesn't give a shit about. I really wish we could force him to stay home so he would lose that accredited year. |

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
K Sheehan said per Mike Jones of USA Today that Dorsey has hounded Bruce over TW. Jones said Bruce absolutely is in a position right now to get a 1st round and something like a 3rd round pick from Dorsey. Dorsey would do the deal.
If this is true, Bruce should be arrested for negligence...its completely insane...the ONLY acceptable explanation is Bruce is going to extend TW. That's it. Its the only reason I can think of...
