Got a good friend in Colorado Springs, texted him bout 1.5 hours ago, havent heard nothing. I cant imagine a more helpless feeling than seeing looming smoke over a hilltop knowing its making its way towards you.

this video (i know it's a pic thread) shows a time lapse from last night where the fire jumped over the two containment lines. you can jump forward to about 25sec mark, but then let it run. Would scare the **** outta me.

Wow. Yeah, that would definitely have my full attention if I lived anywhere near that. Imagine being a firefighter trying to fight it knowing you don't have the capability to end it, and all you can do is try to contain it.
