Your earlier quote: "I already said that if he committed a real crime he should receive the max sentence."

To assert he did not commit a "real crime" seems to be me to be an assertion that his actions were in some way not criminal. Sorry, which words that you use should I assign their traditional definition and which should I understand to be Hijinx definitions?

I can't see a jury conviction on this one. The moving women across state lines thing is a law meant to stop "white" slavery. And has major jail time with it. Can anyone really say the guy deserves 10-12 years for this? Maybe if he killed one of the girls.
I'll let the judge and jury decide what he gets. Again, it's that silly rule of law thing. If he is never charged, or if after charges are filed he goes free, more power to him. It does not change the appropriate public ramifications for the admitted misdeeds of a public official.

If party politics and media play a part in this, it is, again, something this particular political person brought upon himself. He played the high moral card in all of his prior elections. As with all those exposed for hypocrisy, political opponents will seize upon the flaws and the public will be particularly unforgiving.

5)Most of this victimless "crime", (ie. prostitution, most drug use, gambling, etc) are only crimes because someone is imposing their morals on someone else. (see prohibition, that worked well, as is the "war on drugs"
These are both the same point. Essentially - victimless crimes do not affect negatively affect the society as a whole. Rather, they are entirely personal. This is a long-running philisophical battle. I am of the mind that there are no entirely "personal" crimes - particularly crimes involving public officials.

Regardless, you may disagree with whether a particular type of conduct should be criminalized, but it is the society as a whole that makes the decision. Your opinion is your opinion and that fine. The law is the law and unless you can convince enough people to "impose" your opinion on the rest of us then law isn't going to change.

Again, you opinion is your opinion and you are entitled to it.

I must say that I have really enjoyed this thread. And as a male, I do apologize to the ladies of this forum who have been made to feel a bit ambushed and insulted by others of this thread.
i would like to see as link that says this. Bill Clinton enjoyed one of the highest approval ratings of any modern day president . while it did drop during the Lewinski fiasco, it would have had to drop off the face of the earth to reach Bush's plateau. im not sure if there has ever been a more hated president then the one that resides in Washington right now

Re: Gov. Spitzer Linked to Prostitution Ring

When Reagan left office he left with the highest approval rating since FDR, a number which Bill Clinton would actually top 12 years later. Per Wikipedia "Clinton left office with a 65% approval rating, the highest end-of-presidency rating of any President who came into office after World War II."

She's hot but not 5K hot. I feel sorry for her cause she's the new Monica, a Monica that's too smart to do it for free of course.

I guarantee she'll make a killing off of this. A "tell all" book alone would be worth huge amounts of cash. Can you imagine a book about her life and career as a high-dollar hooker and her tryst with the Governor of New York?

That's a cash cow waiting to be milked.

On a different note, I'm not even sure what "$5k/hour hot" would look like. I've had my share of fun, but wouldn't there be an inevitable letdown when the hour(s) are up and you realize you're out $10k +? Maybe why this stuff is best left to the extremely wealthy. Relatively speaking I suppose $5k/hour for them is more like $50/hour for me, which sounds more reasonable.

Re: Gov. Spitzer Linked to Prostitution Ring

Alls I know is the pressure to "perform" if you're shelling out $5,000 bucks must be unbelievable.

And I wonder who are clients 1-8

Yeah, wouldn't it be a real bummer to drop $5k and have an off night?

Men with power??? Let me tell you something if you don't already know it. Men with or w/out power like "strange" evey once in a while. It's not right, as a matter of fact it's wrong. But that's just how it is with a lot of men. This doesn't surprise me one bit. He's married to his wife for 20 years and they have 3-4 kids. To him, his wife probably isn't sexy anymore and he wanted something new. As I said, it's not right but IMO it's just human nature.

I'd be willing to bet that this type of high class hooker service has clients that are athletes, actors or more politicians.

Just by taking a look at these pictures, I'd be willing to bet that most married men, or men with girlfriends would like to have a night alone with this girl.
