I like the Pineapple Jesus thing. (although its not nearly as good as L. Ron Cornflake, I'll be stealing that one) Real Jesus doesn't feel threatened by Colt Brennan. I just wish we were as free to ridicule pedophiles as we are the Lord and Savior of the Universe, but when you're dealing with heathens, one should probably lower one's expectations.

So much for me trying to stir this conversation back to football.

Let's go ahead and drop it or else we might need to lock this one and start fresh.

So I heard Hunter Smith hit some real boomers today! YAY!

I think practicing against such a good defensive line will help our offensive line get better. Apparently there were some good hits today, including Portis going against Big Al. I hope Roger's calf troubles are a minor thing.

Baack from camp. Campbell looked blah. But, Devin Thomas continues to look good. Orakpo flashed several times as well.

What do you mean by Blah? All i've heard is how good JC looks.

He didn't look good in this morning's practice. He was innacurate and late with the ball. Collins looked even worse. Moss was visibly irritated with Campbell at one point.

I heard he held the ball too long and had a few highs and lows on his passes. didnt know about moss though.

Same here. I wouldn't put too much in it right now though.

Re: Training Camp Updates:

I know the highs and lows can be a factor with the new guys like Thomas and Kelly etc who JC hasnt gotten familiar with but Moss and ARE should be on target. I am worried about him holding the ball too long. He really needs to work on getting the ball out on time. That has been the label on him for a while now and for him to succeed he has to get better in that area IMO.

I agree and I was a little disappointed to hear he's still holding it too long, but it's still early so I'm not ready to scream for Colt just yet.

Im ready to see these guys in preseason, If JC is still off come that time then HE needs to be the one with more reps instead of Colt. I like Colt and im glad he is going to get alot of time but it doesnt make sence if the starter is having issues. But i do wonder why our 3rd string QB is going to get that much time in the preseason. i dont see any other teams playing their 3rd guy that much. just sayin.

I think, just like most of us, the coaches and FO would like to see CB take the second spot. Collins is purely insurance and not in our future plans. His age and contract are not in his favor. Colt cost less and has youth on his side. I personally would love to see him in a real game. I hope IF, JC doesn't work out, Colt will get his chance instead of being bypassed for another QB. Maybe he shines, maybe he bursts his fans bubble, but there's only 1 sure way to find out. But again, I'm not ready to give up on JC just yet.

I agree with that. Id rather see Cb get a shot then see us go out and break the bank or give a draft for a QB coming out next yr.

I don't know about "for a long time". In 2007, he posted a 4.8% sack percentage (anything below 5 is great).

Last year: 7.0%. That needs to recover a little bit because that's a high number. Of course, considering we changed the system on him, the hesitancy would seem to be explained by that.

Sure, the offensive line might get worse in the short term, but if you give him 10 or 11 games, we'll see by Thanksgiving whether Jason is at fault for holding the ball too long or if he's simply doing what he can.
