Re: Sell OUR Team Danny Boy - DC Metro Bus Ads
Another idea, based off Mattys Glory day thread. Why not form protests of some sort using positive images. Videos of RFK rocking. a video montage of the SB years. OR a bus banner that says something along the lines of "Dan - Remember SBXVII" or "Dan - Legends are made not bought". Maybe 4 different banners, one with each SB number and the 4th with a motto. All I am saying is maybe we fans can express a positive change message, instead of petty whining messages.
Just sayin' |

Re: Sell OUR Team Danny Boy - DC Metro Bus Ads
Honestly I really like "Dan - Legends are made not bought". I wish someone threw that one out when i was asking for suggestions in another thread.
CRedskinsRule – I admit you are right to an extent, but to quote myself as a 5 year old, “He started it”. This is in response to his ignorance over the last decade. I know I am proving you more right…. Look sometimes the best way to get attention through advertising is to do something controversial. If the idea for the ad was something like “Lets Go SKINS!”, we would have not been getting any interest for our message, and at this point that is the most important thing.

Re: Sell OUR Team Danny Boy - DC Metro Bus Ads
Alright I was just contacted by Beth Parker from Fox 5. Unfortunately, I live in Richmond and am not getting any glory, but my brother and friend should be interviewed around lunch.
I will post back if they give us a time when the interview will be aired. Keep spreading the word!

Re: Sell OUR Team Danny Boy - DC Metro Bus Ads
WASHINGTON, D.C. - These days, disappointed Redskins fans are looking for someone to blame. And for many, that someone is owner Dan Snyder. Some among Redskins Nation are calling for Snyder to sell the team, while others hope he'll eventually take a more hands-off approach.
Power of the people. That's what Redskins fans say they're using to try to convince owner Dan Snyder to either sell the Skins, or at least back off a bit. Charles Tomasch and Chris Mitchell went to high school together in Annandale. They've teamed up with friends to create the website www.sellourteamdannyboy.com . The guys are lifelong Skins fans. Chris painted the first car he ever owned burgundy and gold. They took it to games when the Redskins soared. After this season's Carolina game, he towed it back from Charlotte with the flag upside down-- a sign of distress. The guys are trying to raise about $8,000 to buy 'Sell Our Team Danny Boy' ads on Metro buses. "I'm not one to just sit around and complain. I feel like if you're gonna be a complainer, you gotta go out and do something," said Charles. Charles has dropped his season tickets. Chris still has his tickets, but they're urging fans to skip games and if they go, buy nothing. "If we don't show up, Dan Snyder literally owns a bunch of concrete and copper in the middle of Landover," said Charles. By the way, it wasn't just the Jetta. Until a few months ago, Charles had a burgundy and gold van. He traded it in during Cash for Clunkers. Redskins Fans Express Snyder Distaste
