Re: 2011 NFL Draft
I'm watching College Football Live right now. They just sold me on wanting to draft Kellen Moore. He got the Boise State play book off the internet and had it memorized BEFORE he went to school there. They said he was teaching OLinemen where to go when he first got there. He is a film rat and his processing and ability to read defenses is faster than just about anyone. Sounds like a Peyton Manning-esque kind of player to me. I am going to be pulling for Shanny to draft him now. I am officially starting the Kellen Moore Mob. Whose with me?

You may be right about Wujak, but you're out of your mind if you think Hankerson will be a PS type player. If I was a betting man, I'd put money on him being at least a late first round to second round pick. He may lack speed, but he has everything else that teams look for in #1 receivers. The War Room at The Sporting News has Hankerson currently rated as the #18 over all player in the draft and #4 WR. They have him going 21st to the Rams in their current Mock Draft. Hankerson's player profile: SportingNews.com - Pro Football War Room I'd love to see Wujak in Washington on the PS. He's the type of player that will work his ass off until he makes it on the field and we clearly don't have enough of those type players. |

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
I didn't know that. I thought he was coming out. For the draft.... I guess I'm going to have to shut down the flier and banner making machines.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Im gonna go ahead throw my support behind taking AJ Green WR with our first pick. I dont see a quarterback outside of Luck worth a first and Im doubting Luck is coming out. Oline pick is out of the question at our position. OT are weak and I wouldnt support taking an interior lineman with a top 15 pick. Not one first round RB talent either this year. Ingram? ha, not that good.
Green is the best WR in the draft and what i consider a threat everytime he touches the ball...wouldnt that be nice for a change? DaQuan Bowers would be my second choice, top on defense. But he is probably gonna go between 5-10...maybe higher. So with the Redskins first pick, AJ Green WR out of Georgia

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
I say we draft him in 2012. Weak arm my ass. I have already stated this on other threads, but everytime I catcfh BSU on TV or get a chance to see their highlights, Moore is at least throwing a few 60 yard bombs, and that is 60 yars in the air. Still though, we would be better served in drafting a QB from a bigtime program that played a substantial schedule than a very good team that played cupcakes, and got blasted by the only decent teams on their schedule. He would make a good backup for us if we don't draft one this season. Would be nice to see him make it, but his situation is too much like Colt Brennan's.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
In the later rounds, I really hope we get a true homerun hitting type of RB. Someone like Noel Devine. A guy that can catch it out of the backfield and get 5-10 carries a game.

Re: 2011 NFL Draft
I think our biggest concern on the line is the interior line with both guard positions and a center. I think GTripp made a post in another thread about Shanny's draft history with linemen. With the exception of LT, all his interior linemen have been drafted in rounds 4-6 and only one was a bust. Sounds like we can have our cake and eat it too? However I do agree with you that if we take AJ Green we start down the Detroit path which is a place I do not care to go.

If Luck, Gabbert, and Foles all stay in college, I would avoid a top round QB in this draft just on the strength of the 2012 draft class. If the choices are to pick up Jake Locker and lose a bunch of games, or to lose a bunch of games with Chad Henne/Matt Leinart/Matt Moore/Carson Palmer at QB and possibly be in position to land Andrew Luck in 2012, lets take the latter route. If Gabbert and Luck both come out this year, next year's draft would appear to be very weak anyway, so then I'd support taking the best available QB in this draft and doing whatever it takes to make him successful.
