Film adapted and transposed many stories from plays, books and short stories and made a profit. Good on 'ya. (Hell, just look at American Dad - a rip of of Family Guy which in turn was a Simpsons rip off)(Also, try and find some good sci-fi that isn't simply a reinvention of a Twilight Zone episode. It's not that easy!) (EDIT: and ... most TZ episodes were adaptions of earlier short stories). Hell, they didn't even given an Academy Award for Best Original Screen Play until 1940 (Prior to that it was Best Story - and included adaptions). Really, believe it or not. I was just agreeing with your earlier point.

Occupy protester's Twitter posts subpoenaed - Technology & science - Tech and gadgets - msnbc.com Not becoming a police state? I beg to differ. They want to squelch the peasants as much as possible and they are going to trample on any civil right they deem necessary to do it. Killing the content and people spreading the word keeps the people separated from a single movement. Simple concept. Control the message, and you control the people. Which is why they really want control over the internet.

So you are to believe it's just random lawyer out of nowhere subpenaing these names for his divorce case?...lol (another case was cited as well) People with power, want to stay in power. It's the nature of humanity. People kill and steal over wealth and power all the time. People use other pawns and soldiers to do their bidding in power plays. If the people with power can gain some leverage or upper hand by obtaining these IDs, then they sure as hell are going to do it. The fact the judges issued the subpenas to begin with is a joke. Should be disbarred from practicing law.

All of which will continue to force content companies to innovate. Edit: Apparently I spoke to soon.

Re: Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA)
Apparently it could come back if the source code for the site is released and someone else becomes willing to run it.
