Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
I think Wilson can play. Screw the height thing. He played behind a huge line last year and was fine. If he was 3 inches taller he would have been a top 10 pick.

Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
I think Seatlle is going to have a really tough decision. Flynn will likely be the Week 1 starter because of the salary they gave him. You can't pay a backup that much money. If the season is not going well, I can see the fans chanting for Wilson to come in and the team will probably have to do it. I think they're REALLY overpaying Flynn. We have barely seen him on the field and when he was, it was with the Green Bay Packers, a loaded team.

Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
Russel Wilson, born and raised Richmond Va, time and time again has beaten the odds. I was floored when he was taken that high in the draft. He basically gets let go by NC State, entrenched as the starting QB, only to go to Wisconsin and in less than a year has them contending for a National Championship. I was kinda a naysayer bout the kid, but have been proved wrong everytime. Dude is more than legit and his debut last week was f*cking amazing outside the one int. The throw to Brayon Edwards was a thing of beauty.

Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
damn, that is a serious injury. That might just be his career. Players have come back from it, but I'd wager he will never be the same.

Russell is my boy. Screw what everyone says, he will be the starter in Seattle by the end of the season. Mark. My. Words.

This week we will have a better look at Robert, I'm sure he'll play about 3-4 series and pass more .

Re: Around the nfl: Pre season week 1
gotta link? Think i heard he didnt need surgery, so he's gonna miss some time but not the year. Heard minor spleen injury takes at a minimum 6 weeks.

I think you need to put the words 'pre' in front of one of your words in your post.

Surgery not needed. He is out for the preseason, and still uncertain for the opener. But it looks like he will play this season
