Seans been gone for a while unfortunately and rogers was very unwilling to stay so we haven't had much luck in that regard

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction
I still like what I see out of RG3. The whole offense seems improved and keeps us in any game.
But our defense is just piss poor and we will not win many games this season with them performing the way they have been so far. Honest question here, is Jim Haslett fired at the end of the season if the defense stays this bad every week? We know Mike and Kyle are here for one more year, but how bad would things have to get for both Shanahans to get fired? Less than 3 wins???

Looks like Revis might be out for a period of time. Let's see how he performs now that he'll have to worry about playing that half of the field.

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction
I don't understand the Landry love. Who cares about him? We don't have him now? Why don't we bring back Carlos Rogers and Brandon Lloyd then. Can we trade back for Champ Bailey? Hell maybe we can get Antonio Piece out of retirement. All of these guys flourished with other teams after being with the Skins. There's no point in crying over spilled milk now. It's all about making the best out of what we have.

**** Landry, Carlos let himself go and RIP Mr. Taylor
All that said, I said before and I'll say again that I'd rather they had gone all out to get Carr from KC this off-season rather than Morgan, even Winston. I think you mask poor OL play much easier than you can mask poor DB play

I was/am happy with the Garcon signing. Thought Morgan was over the top and would have spent the money better on Carr.

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction
Even without his signing, would our cap room allowed for us to be able to make that type of acquisition? Having that 18 mil stole from our cap was crucial.

Would have loved to pick up Carr, but do you think it's our DBs getting beat so bad or just being put into impossible situations? Overall, I've felt like our DBs have had some pretty decent coverage. We've had a few missed tackles, but when we give up short passes, it seems that everyone is wide open (including Wilson's side who I think is pretty good).

In the end this falls on the coaches, esp the def coordinator.

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction
I agree about the DBs, but for me, it's mostly coaching. I just feel like our playcalls have terrible timing. When we blitz, it's like we pick the worst possible formation to do it in. I understand you can't always predict what the other team is going to do, but sometimes they should have a defensive audible. I like the aggressiveness, but when it's 2nd and 20, I don't care if it's 3rd and 30, just make them punt!

If you look back at the Patriots when they were winning Super Bowls, you noticed their defense was incredible at the point of attack and LBs. It's a main reason why BB hasn't paid huge money to DBs, and a big reason why he let Asante Samuel walk. Vrabel, Seymour, Bruschi, McGinest, Coolvin, Johnson have all been beasts. The only DB to note on those squads is Ty Law, and Harrison was at the end of his career. I've always thought AS was overrated even back in NE. He jumped routes all the time and capitalized. Right now, we simply aren't getting the pressure we need to up front and it shows.
