Re: Falcons postgame
Maybe lifting his arm so he wasn't pushing through Ryan and it clocks him? The sequence looks so awkward.

Yes neck area - didn’t mean to imply he was going for the head - either way it was totally unnecessary wrap the motherfucker up or go for the ball. But my main point is it was a good call. |

Re: Falcons postgame
After watching the play the forearm check is a very odd maneuver.

Re: Falcons postgame
Man that's terrible. Tearing your ACL on a hailmary on the last play of the game is about as ruff as it gets. Especially for a guy that had to surprisingly fight his way onto the roster. Lame.

Re: Falcons postgame
And now you find yourself thin at CB with McTyer out for the year and St. Juste in the concussion protocol. I hope they bring in some CBs this week.

---------------- Deosnt the Texans have to carry Jimmy Moreland on their active roster since they poached from our PS? He has been inactive so far with them. Perhaps just have to carry him on the 53. Maybe Im getting it confused with baseballs rule 5. |

Re: Falcons postgame
More injury news:
@john_keim Tory McTyer out for the year with a torn ACL; Ron Rivera said Jon Bostic likely out for the year with a torn pec. I never wish for anyone to get injured, but this may be addition by subtraction with Bostic out.

Re: Falcons postgame
I would say this is good news, both are liabilities. Promote Danny Johnson

I mean when you consider how bad Fuller, WJ3, McCain and Collins are playing, his performance didn't seem like the issue to me.

Re: Falcons postgame
He was getting roasted yesterday and was called for Pass interference, however the refs canceled it probably to make up for the Chase Young phantom roughing the passer foul.

Re: Falcons postgame
Why does our defense suddenly suck? I'll tell you. It is the secondary. They don't know where they should be. Or they are hesitant because they are still thinking hard about it. There's a reason people liked Moreland. He knew where to be and he caused turnovers. What he an ideal speciman? No. They figured more size, speed, talent would be an obvious upgrade. Well, that all assumes they have the same know how and the same motivation. Right now, no one in the secondary is showing either. Remember, 100% of the starting secondary is playing a different position this year. This is a major mistake prioritizing flex vs continuity. I'd rather have fixed starters that are very good, then someone that can start 3 positions that is only good in one and average in others. The truth is, the secondary late last year started playing as a cohesive unit. That is not happening, therefore a 3 second throw is completed as if every throw is a one on one drill. The dline, particularly Chase is getting impatient and freelancing. Which sucks when u can easily synch your rush with superior talent. This is not just coaching. It is morale. It is attitude. You have some folks that are used to losing consistently. They lose their fire quickly.

Re: Falcons postgame
Yeah my bad forgot about those, I keep thinking of him as a rookie and go "ah that's ok he'll learn to turn his head around" when I see these DPI... but he's not a rookie ^^

Re: Falcons postgame
Good news on Scherrff and Thomas. Thank God. Hopkins needs to be fucking cut today. No way there isn’t someone out there with a 40 yard fg range and can make ep’s.
