Cowboys had a third place schedule and went 2-1 Patriots (W 35-29 OT) Vikings (W 20-16) Cardinals (L 25-22) Our first place schedule and went 1-2 Buffalo (L 43-21) GB (L 24-10) Seattle (W 17-15) I think if roles are reversed Dallas goes 1-2 against our opponents. I would say we go 0-3 against theirs but we might be able to win Minn if we are winning late in the 4th and Minn is on offense. If the season rolled out as expected with Fitz as QB I think that GB game might have been winnable. |

All of those teams finished with 7 wins or less. Having a top tier qb against them with the rest of our team, would give us a great shot next year. Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk |

Re: 2022 off season thread part 1
All I'm going to say is we've mortgaged away the future in the past with a way worse roster than we have now. I do actually think the foundation is really solid right now. I'd be okay with two 1's for Russ. Not to mention what his presence would mean for the locker room.
I think now that we aren't in the middle of the season, everyone should take stock of all the positives we saw during an injury-ravaged year

Signing a big name QB in free agency vs drafting a QB within the first two rounds of the draft.....which do you prefer ?

There are no "big name QB" in free agency.

The best FA QB is Winston.. We’d have to trade multiple picks for Wilson or Watson. Jimmy G has been rumored but hard pass

Re: 2022 off season thread part 1
Michael Gallup will be a FA, I'd bring him in to be our #2 in a heartbeat.
I know nothing else matters besides QB... But we need to add more talent on O

Re: 2022 off season thread part 1
If we need more offensive talent, then use No. 11 on Garrett Wilson who, combined with McLauren, would give us two amazing talents on the outside.

Don't forget about the guys we'll have coming back from injury, Thomas, Samuel, McKissic (if he re-signs). And Brown and Bates in year 2. The cupboard isn't all bare.

Re: 2022 off season thread part 1
It's definitely not ideal, but we better get used to the idea of one of those options ending up here for 2022. Shoot, maybe they'll bring back Fitz. I think the odds are that they will either sign one of those free agents, or trade for someone like Garoppolo/Trubisky/Carr...
With either of these scenarios, they really have to draft a QB. I absolutely don't see them pulling off a big splashy trade for Rodgers, Wilson, or Watson. |
