I believe Byron Allen has the inside track. JMO.

Outside of having 1 great owner, having a key guy leading it, but with several partners, might not be a bad thing. Have some checks and balances.
I don't have a Tesla and I'll never have Twitter, so I'm really indifferent to him in general, but I don't want Musk to be the owner. I don't want any owner that always needs the spotlight. I have similar concerns about Bezos, but I don't know if he actually seeks it or that Amazon dominates so much, it's forced on him. I'd take Allen and his group over those 2 myself.

Turns out, at least for me, the colors mattered just as much as the name. I know lots of people don't like the new uniforms. But imo, they're close enough where I still at least a small connection to the Redskins. I think the main help is that I really like the helmets.

This team needs to be bought by someone who lives in the area and is fan. I could see any of these rich celebrities move the team to another city, fuck that!!

Dan Snyder was supposedly a fan. I typically agree with you, but not on this one. I want a billionaire that wants to own a team because he/she wants to make money, win, and knows how to run a successful company.

Re: Dan Snyder Hires Bank Of America To Potentially Sell Washington Commanders
Oh, I think it is a certainty. No way a new owner is going to stick with a name picked by the most unpopular owner in NFL history. Additionally, the name itself is extremely unpopular. A new owner will jump at the chance to put his stamp on the team while simultaneously ingratiating himself with the fans. It's a lock that the name Commanders survives only as long as Snyder owns the team.

Re: Dan Snyder Hires Bank Of America To Potentially Sell Washington Commanders
Why would anyone want Elon Musk as an owner?
Why would you want to replace a publicly relatively quiet piece of shit with no clue about football that can´t leave his hands off daily business with a publicly loud mouthed piece of shit with no clue about football that can´t leave his hands off daily business? |

But I do think ruling out a renaming because it's unheard of to have a team be renamed twice in the span of a few years is disregarding the specificity of this situation. Whoever buys this team, will, to a certain extent, buy it because of the fame and spotlight that goes with it, so I don't think it's absurd to anticipate that this person would be sensitive to the ego boost of getting to pick the name of one of 32 NFL Teams, that'll most likely stick for many decades/centuries... And don't tell me it's a lock the NFL wouldn't approve another name change, someone who can buy a 6 billions dollars franchise has the means to pleads his case, and this name having been picked by the most despised owner in the league, it wouldn't be such a difficult case to plead. If someone bought the Cowboys or the Patriots today, they would have zero interest and zero point in changing the name, but Commanders isn't a brand anybody is attached too yet, so the name going away isn't absurd at all IMO. That's an awful lot of way too early speculation though. Let's see who buys this team first.
