Yes, it's the vacation season and I have 4 weeks to kill...just so you know and I'll be going on another in a few months too.

p.s. I learned a lot about George Washington during my visit to Mount Vernon. I didn't know that 30% of the estate is still owned by decendents of his slaves.

DC is an awesome place to vacation and see this country's heritage. That is an interesting fact.

As a kid here I went to all the museums, landmarks etc, but you see things as a kid, if you know what I mean. Since coming back to the area a few years ago, I really haven't gone to as many as I would like.

Just out of curiosity, did you make it to either Ft. McHenry, or the Air and Space museum. Those are 2 of my favorites.

I wanted to go the Air and Space museums but my girl said it's not worth going because it doesn't have much to see and Seattle's The Museum of Flight is comparable so I went to the Capital Building instead. I'll be going back there in Octobar for my boy's wedding so I saved some time for other sites then when it's not 100 degrees outside. I done burned up out there.

I've never heard anyone say the Air and Space Museum doesn't have much to see. That's a first. The place is awesome. You'll have to hit it up next time you find yourself in the DC area.

Unfortunately I didn't. I simply didn't have enough time as I was there for only 4 days most of which was sent with family and friends and sightseeing.

I know that the bills (I say bills because 5 are in the works now) do not enclude anything about a death pannell but I would also say Obama opened that door some when he made the comment that grandma maybe should just take a pill instead of having an operation. I think it was another one of those times he was speaking without his teleprompter.

Bitter? Actually I'm a very happy person and I really don't talk to much about politics other then here. I do some with friends and family but why get together with them and talk politics when your suppose to be having fun.

I guess it would be good to have Obama care to night as the Ravens are going to need some after the skins are done with them. I hop that was not to bitter.

Obama guarantees health care overhaul will pass - Yahoo! News

Pres Obama is putting alot on the line, I have to assume he knows he has enough to get this behemoth passed.

To be fair though I think the older Bush was under the impression that a segment of the population wanted to create a state called "New Texas" and being sort of a Texan himself Bush found that be offensive.
