I think you may be missing the point a bit. IMO he is saying there is no heriosm in infideity. Too often the infideitly in a celebratory is overlooked. Like saying wow how brave for him to come out, when we should be like shame on him.

It is hard to put into words.

It was brave for him to take that approach IMO. It definitely lended a ton of credibility to his perspective if nothing else. Sure, shame on him for cheating on his ex-wife, but he obviously has owned his issues and taken measures to correct them. I think it took a great deal of humility to relate to Tiger in this fashion for all to read. He didn't have to say anything at all. I don't believe I am missing the point.

His speech is infuriating because a) he assumes Jesus is the only path to forgiveness and redemption as a matter of fact, b) belittles Buddhism as somehow inferior religion without knowing anything about its teachings on the matter of forgiveness and redemptions, and c) Hume claims he isn't proselytizing.

From philosophical prospective Buddhism speaks elegantly on the subject of forgiveness and redemption.

You know, if Gov. Mark Sanford was Buddhist he would find forgiveness and redemption with less strings attached.

Well I didn't really see it the same way.

a) Yeah that's what religions do. They don't allow for other religions. Anyone who is a Christian tacitly believes the same way as Brit. Anyone who is Buddhist believes similarly in the singularity of their ideas. If we all got worked up over what religions think of other religions the world would be in trouble. Oh wait everyone already does.

b) I think he was somewhat dismissive of Buddhism but "belittles"? Really? He made one minor observation (apparently out of ignorance and turn) but it wasn't belittling. That's over-analyzing it.

c) Yeah that is a crock I agree.

But in the end aren't you and a bunch of others getting worked up over something that is really not important and not nearly anything close to a big deal? In fact the furor over this is the only thing making it a deal at all. Otherwise it was just another blowhard (which Brit doesn't usually seem to be) saying stuff.

Saden worked up over Fox?? Nooooo...

I wish everyone would just leave this alone. The man obviously has massive issues, and he's dealing with them. He's lost his family, his credibility, countless millions, and his career has taken a massive hit. He's paying for what he's done. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel sorry for him, but now the pathetic media/papparazzi will be all over that little town hoping to get a measly picture of a sick guy trying to get well. It's so effing pathetic.

Apparently Jamie Grubbs was on the Sports Junkies(106.7 FM in DC) this morning. I missed it, as I had work at the time. I think I am gonna go back and listen to it. Those guys really dont hold back all that much, might have been pretty funny lol.

Tiger going into sex rehab is nothing but BS and a total front. He nailed what, 15 to 20 women over a period of time?? Maybe a few more? That's not very hard to do if you put effort into it. Tiger is not a sex addict. He just wanted to a lot of strange. A lot of guys do what Tiger does. He's just putting on this front so he can repair his image. What a phony. Man up and say you wanted a lot of sex w/ alot of different partners. No one would even care if he wasn't married. Don't blame that shit on addiction.

I think rehab is little more than a PR move for Tiger. Not sure if he really has a problem or not, but I do think sex addiction is real.

That is like saying man up and just say you like drinking a lot of beer.

If whatever you are doing comes to point where it is interfering with your normal life you probably have formed an a addiction.

I would say if you are married and sleeping with multiplies of other partners you got an addiction. It be one thing if he was just banging one other girl but his shit was out of control.
