something that needs to be stated, Darrel "Big Soft" Young having a solid year. I saw several huge blocks last night and a first down run. Shanny keeps developing these guys...

We are not better than the bandwagon folks. We just a have a higher threshold for emotional pain and disappointment than they do. Everybody loves a winner but few people can hang in there for decades of losing.
Hmmmm..you will see. I just started wearing Sox hats again.

Re: Giants at Redskins Post Game Thread

I love what I saw out of this Redskins team last night. RG3, Alfred Morris, Pierre Garcon, and the Redskins offensive line. Leonard Hankerson came up with a key reception too. Was Aldrick Robinson active for last night's game? After the game Robinson had against the Doo Doo Boys on Thanksgiving, I was looking forward to see him last night about the Giants. The defense played well too. London Fletcher and Perry Riley were making tackles. Rob Jackson sacked Eli Manning. Ryan Kerrigan was being held all game but still made plays. The Redskins secondary still showed last night how much it is the weak link of the defense. I've gotten so tired of criticizing DeAngelo Hall and Josh Wilson that I just see if they can bounce back and make plays after being burned. Madieu Williams made one mistake but otherwise played a good game.

There was actually a Goat sighting at last nights game.

Martellus Bennett's TD vs Redskins 2012 - YouTube

You can see him cheering on Bennett at the end of the TD.

I think part of the reason the secondary struggles is because the total lack of pass rush. Williams was beaten last night a few times, Eli just missed some open wr's. But Jackson, Bowen, Cofield, Jenkins, Kerrigan...they simply can't get to the QB. They're solid against the run but they CAN NOT rush the passer. We give up yards but I'll take holding NY to 16 points every time. The D did more than did their job last night. However, if Eli hits a few, today is a totally different story.

Baguettes and Croissants for everyone today. Pierre Garçon is a MAN.

I went to the game last night and it was LOUD!!!!

Side note: I can totally see how fights happen at games now, because the Giants fan next to me was effing obnoxious. Screaming in my ear, yelling how bad we are. It was so gratifying to silence him with a Redskins victory. I wanted to punch him in and around his face. So annoying.

That is all. Back to work today. Godbless Redskins nation.

So, with the ESPN Playoff Generator, using Offense Rank, we play the Giants @ Fedex as the 4th seed(us) vs 5th seed(them)

That would be amazing.

Really just want to give a big middle finger to all the "Garcon was a waste, KS is holding RGIII back. You'll see, everyone is going to want to fire MS by the end of the year" crowd.

And yes ... I realize that's not particularly courteous or Christian - but, unlike RGIII, I am merely human and, on occasion, err.
It's easy to go back in time and criticize people on their opinions, where would yours be if we had lost these 3 games?
3 games back it was absolutely relevant to discuss Garçon and Shanny
No one thought Garçon would contribute this yr after injury, and while he's not a bust he hasn't lived up to contract( nobody's fault)
How many posters said KS was holding back RG3? 1? Remember httr24-7 said RG3 said the same thing, please keep bringing it up to RG3 also, get over it already
My problems with MS were not just about overall record, there was a lot more to it then that
Having said that, his past 3 games have been BY FAR the best he has coached, handled replay, clock management etc and if he keeps it up would go a long way towards overlooking the other mistakes
And Joe this is not a personal affront to you,I'm just tired of the old shit about KS holding RG3 back when it seems like there was only 1 poster saying that(besides RG3 himself)
I am merely human also and also on occasion, err

I said it and I still think he does at times. The wr screens in the red zone last night? Terrible calls. Gotta let RG3 take a shot in the end zone there instead of playing it safe. Play action pass at the end of the game. GREAT CALL.

Re: Giants at Redskins Post Game Thread

The entire team from the coaches on down have turned things around significantly the past three weeks. Or did they? How much of it is just better execution? How much of this was all part of the plan Shanahan talked about even this summer of developing RG3 gradually? Tough to say for sure.

But if at this point, you can't acknowledge that it's not RG3 winning in spite of the coaches then I don't know what to say

Plays that work = great calls. Plays that don't = Kyle is a bum.

Can't win 'em all, just watch any game and let us know if you find a perfectly called and executed game. Sometimes the D just does their job.

Which leads me too brace yourself for the band wagoners; good after the 2004 WS everyone and their mother was a Red Sox fan. I was like where have this people been?
I cant stand Gruden. He makes MNF almost unwatchable.

Yeah, I'm worried that Kyle finds a coaching gig somewhere. I guess it depends on how many vacancies there are to fill elsewhere in the league- but with each win, his stock elevates.

Were Denver and Carolina using it last year?
Carolina did use the pistol last year. However, their use of the pistol is and was restrained compared to us. They use the pistol as a change-of-pace package with a limited number of plays.

Kyle has built a virtually complete offense around the pistol. It is impressive to see the variety of concepts that Kyle has worked into his pistol: stretch runs, read options, sprint options, classic drop-back passes, and play action. As such, Kyle has created a new animal that the NFL has never seen.

Three cheers for Kyle!
