This year a record number of underclassmen have made themselves draft-eligible, making this year's draft very deep. Talent which may have gone in rounds 2-3 in previous years will go in rounds 4-5 this year. With this in mind, your idea of trading down is a very good one.

Sometimes, it's just time to take a blue chip prospect, and I think this year is the right timing for that. Sure, I'd love a bunch of role players and/or added depth, but like I've said earlier, we have a shot at top prospects at either G or C. Not saying it's a sure thing, but I say we stay where we are, take one of those guys and go from there.

Yeah, if we get an offer we can't refuse, (Extra 2nd rounder, 1st rounder next year) Cool, but if not I say take BPA at a place of need, whether it be ILB, NT, DE, CB, WR, OT, OG whatever.

Also, on an unrelated note, Daniel McClusters from Tennessee is a guy I like in the 3rd or so. 6'8" 350lb NT.

That is a MASSIVE man. Jeezus. Cofield can play whatever along the line, so if we got a giant NT, I'd be OK with it (if someone fell, not targeting it).

And I love Sammy Watkins. HATE what he always did against VT though. Guy is a straight baller and it seems like we're seeing a ton of can't-miss WR prospects the last few years.

Yeah, that is a big big man, and he makes me feel small, and I am a shade under 6'5."

I'd offer Kc to Cleveland for a 3rd and that way they won't need to trade up for manziel.

Re: 34th Overall Pick

The best CB/RT available at 34 would be my choice. Unless there is a player at another position that is blatantly obvious and should have been picked way higher (HOPE HOPE HOPE Sammy Watkins, I know it won't happen, but good example).

If Sammy Watkins through some act of God fell to 34, pretty sure that would be the fastest pick in team history, beating the Orakpo pick.

God is a powerful cat, he could make it happen, all kidding aside, I'm talking more like some guy that should have been drafted like 20-33 that somehow fell and is way obvious that he is BPA.

If falls to the second round it will be because he gets arrested in the months leading up to the draft and it comes out he has a drug problem.

Oh, I know it won't, just saying if it did. Benjamin I like at 6'5" 230 lbs I guess, there is just something about him that is like "hmmmmm" to me.

Not saying he wouldn't be great, but the games I saw of him were very "Hankerson"-y. People kept calling Hank a long plodder and I see that in Benjamin. Now, hands-wise, Benjamin is AWESOME and is way more physical than Hank.

That is what I was thinking too. There are times when he doesn't look like the best WR on his team, but looks dominant other times. Like I said he is 6'5" 230lbs, that is a big physical boy and supposedly he runs in the 4.4 range, so he has the makings of a star I just dont know.

Benjamin's biggest problem is his poor route running. He's large, physical, and fast, but he'll need to work on routes. And I don't think he'll last to the 2nd, but if he would, I'd pass. OL is a bigger need, and we can help WR with FAs or later draft picks.

Edit: He's also had cases of stone hands in some games. With the way Warpathers have ripped Hankerson a new one for his "bad" hands, Benjamin isn't an ideal choice.

Agree. Watkins is definitely a top-10 pick.
