Well unfortunately it's time to move on from that beloved name.. The fans that are saying "I will always call them Redskins" need to move on, nothing lasts forever anyway. Cherish those times and look forward to a new beginning

Not going to happen you will just have to wait for those fans to die off. I imagine they will remain the majority for some time.

I have a friend at work that does that. Still calls the Nats the Expos, calls the Ravens the Browns etc, etc. It gets very annoying very quickly.

This.. For the fans that are in their 30's or younger I suspect that it is easier than someone who's in their 50's like myself. Or the ones that are older than me.

I grew up in DC and went to numerous games at RFK. Redskins is in my blood and that will simply never change until I die off.

This new stuff is just too phony. It's BS made up by the wokeness climate we live in. I wish Dan stood his ground on it. I would have forgiven him for all his BS over the years. An owner like Mr Cooke or even Al Davis would have fought it until the bitter end.

I'm 60. To me they will always be the Redskins. Total bs they changed the name and then did not want to go with Wolves/Redwolves. If they really cared about the fans they could've got things moving more than a year ago on that and gotten it done. Money talks.....


My father was in the military for over 25 years. The first game he saw was the Giants and the Redskins was in 1966 Redskins 72 Giants 41 and that is what got hooked on the Skins. We used to listen to them on the radio when I was a kid

I hope it is Sentinels, but most likely not going to happen, for reasons mentioned before. At least with that you can tie it in with the military but don't have to.


That being said they will always be my team, just hoping the name is something stupid and lame.

You are so correct !! The man took over a Historic Franchise that was among the most valuable sports team out there ( which how is that possible with a supposed racist name ).. swore he would never change the name and then caved in over money .. then because of money REFUSED to listen to fan base on the new name .. Redwolves was the fans pick!!

Now factor in all the Scandals ( how much hush money has he spent) ..
The inept way the team has been run regarding coaches,Front office , players etc..
The crap Stadium situation.. Somehow the new deal will fail !

We must be the most loyal fans of all time to stay with this sinking ship .. yep maybe he should name the team Armada and the logo will show a sinking ship …

I'm excited for the new brand, honestly sometimes a fresh start is needed. Redskins will always be our team and past time. That logo WILL NEVER be topped.. It was always the best logo in sports IMO. But lets embrace that new W , kinda like the bears use their "C" and also have an actual logo of a bear as well.

I've accepted Commanders or Admirals as the likely options. Don't like either of them but don't hate them.

I like Brigade better than Armada.
