I can envision a stadium at National Harbor with a renaming of MGM as MGM Commander's Casino, etc. This is kind of the concept the business people within Commanders are thinking. Turning it to an experience and not just a team to go see on a Sunday afternoon. Back to ticket sales, what percentage of decline in tickets is due you think is because of the product on the field? Poor stadium experience? Owner? Off the field fiascos? For me: Product on the field? 10% Poor stadium experience? 40% Owner? 40% Off field stuff? 10% I think

Re: Dan Snyder Hires Bank Of America To Potentially Sell Washington Commanders
You guys are getting your panties in bunches.
Elon and Bezos are not micromanagers. Nor is Byron Allen or Todd Boehly. Dan Snyder was, he meddled because he was a fan above all. Who owns the team next isn't nearly as impactful as the fact that they're not Dan Snyder. Anybody but Dan, who it is almost doesn't matter, it will be miles better by default.

Seriously the fact we are arguing about preferred owners shows how fucked up this franchise has become. The owner should be such an after thought.

I’m on board with anyone not named Snyder.

The owner should just be a guy cashing his dollars in and making a couple of decision every now and then... But we're all shell chocked after decades of Snyder... and while it's fair to say we had the worst owner in the league so it can't be worse... Some other NFL teams have constantly been really bad for a very long time too, and ownership has to have had an impact in them losing so much, so it's not like "hey Snyder is gone, we're automatically going to get a guy that's gonna make a functional organisation out of this franchise" either. In short, you don't want to go from being the Snyder owned Redskins to being the Browns...

Re: Dan Snyder Hires Bank Of America To Potentially Sell Washington Commanders
It honestly surprises me how much attention this story is getting across so many platforms. I mean, he's the best owner we've had since JKC...
But seriously, surely he must be aware of ALL the hate coming his way with so many outlets - even a lot of non-affiliated people - hoping this is him getting out. Nobody can be THAT oblivious can they? |

Re: Dan Snyder Hires Bank Of America To Potentially Sell Washington Commanders
Question. When the new owner comes in, and obviously that may take some months and we don't know who it will be, but, does Ron and the front office get another year to show their stuff or is there an immediate cleanout of FO and coaching staff to remove the Snyder stench. Do they slash the roster to maximise draft picks and cap space for a new regime. Does the new owner sell the farm to get a name QB in the building.
