What is the percentage of the public that knows George Floyd had a history of drug use and committing violent crimes? As far as Floyd who cares about his past, his past in no way justified him being murdered by the cops.

His past does not justify him being murdered by police, but portraying him as a model citizen creates a false narrative that everyone needs to fear the police.
Police kill more white people than black people, almost everyone killed by police had a history of drug use and committing crimes. In spite of this the media portrays the police of constantly killing "innocent" black people. That is a big fat lie that strikes fear in people that can lead to them causing a bad interaction with police that did not need to happen. The media divides people, they cause a lot more harm than they do good, too bad 1/2 the population is blind to this.

Go ahead, find me someone killed by police who was clean and sober and had not recently committed a crime or had a rap sheet.

Outside of ABC New and obviously Chicago media, it’s purposely not covered by mainstream media. Everyone knows why, it’s no great secret.

Chicago is a shithole, run by Democrat trash for years. Go read the crimes and about the victims. The folks committing these acts should be vilified and called out, most are kids. What kinda trash raises kids like this?

I haven't been to Chicago since 2007 (pre kids) but I used to love it. The old neighborhoods. Love some good polish food. Went to a Polish Festival saw the Kielbasa Queen and tried to get her to sample my kielbasa. The L was like a clean quiet New York subway. That was a different time.

NYT didn’t run an article, that’s from 2019. Yahoo Didn’t write one...pushed one from National Review. BBC isn’t mainstream media. It’s not being covered...

If it was a single person killing 18...top news story in the world. A cop killed one, larger coverage. A racial element of a white guy shooting a black guy...big story.

I would bet 18 murders single day in separate incidents in a city...is this a record?

We have to acknowledge a blindspot in the media and political narrative.

And what really gets me angry, 2 18 girls shot and killed who were college students. Trying to do the right way, seeking higher education to better themselves...it’s ashamed. Folks should be marching for these 2.

Given the fact gun violence has been a long running problem in Chicago it's not hard to see why it's not exactly a red hot topic. Not saying that's right.
