Re: Redskins vs. Dolphins predictions

Santana Moss has a HUGE DAY! i dont think anyone in that secondary has seen speed like that since he played for the jets....he will have a big day, and that will help get the running game going....SKINS 30 Dolphins 10, i think the dolphins get a lucky score or a defensive touchdown.

There have been some really good posts here (and a few homerish ones from both team's fans).

I have to say i think this will definately be a defense battle and it comes down to which team can establish the running game... either way i don't see either team scoring more then 24 points. I willl have ot give the offensive edge to Washington with Betts being a great compliment to Portis, and us introducing a new offensive scheme. On Defense I still believe that Miami has that edge, though washington does look to have gotten better on paper this year i still don't see washington's front 7 forcing any team to go to the air, if they do shut down miami's rushing attack then it will be a long game for miami.

with all that being said i feel this is a game that is tooo close to call even though i hope for a Miami win... either way goodluck and let's ohope for an injury free game.
Most sensible Miami post yet...

This game is going to go either way with a super low scoring output. While of course I'm hoping it swings 13-10 Washington, it could just as easily be Miami, unless that Saunders offense has been kept under wraps all summer and goes off at home this Sunday.

Dolphins 13
Redskins 7

Lets face it the Redskins don't have much of an offense this year. I think our defense will be close to what we thought it was though, but not enough to stop the Phins despite the fact they don't have a great offense.

Our defense will kill there offense!

How much of our offense do you think you've really seen to this point?

Don't forget CS & CP will be ready for the opener.

Re: Redskins vs. Dolphins predictions

Why is that? We don't. We have no receivers with exception of Cooley and Moss. You know the Phins are going to have a safety keeping an eye on Moss all day and I wouldn't be suprised to see them bring a 3rd corner out in 2 TE sets. I'm giving us a chance. I think our defense will look great. I expect us to be all over the Dolphins pass routes, but I have a feeling the Dolphins will be all over ours and if it comes down to a turnover, which it probably will the Dolphins are going to win.

Re: Redskins vs. Dolphins predictions

Two elite receivers sounds good to me. Most teams don't have even THAT.

Re: Redskins vs. Dolphins predictions

Skins 20
Miami 10

*Campbell throws for a little over 200 yards and one td & one int
*Betts and Portis combine for around 125 yards on the ground and one td
*Defense records 2-4 sacks most of which coming from the lbs and cbs and they are also gonna force 1 int and 1-2 fumbles.

Re: Redskins vs. Dolphins predictions

Sorry I am late but my view is that this game will come down to the running game vs. the Defensive line. Portis has a career rushing average of 4.7 and Brown has a career average of 4.3. Portis is a better back but both are over 4 which could mean that on average the both teams should be in 3rd and 2 situations. I know I am extrapolating quite a bit but bear with me.
Defending the run begins with the D line. Therefore you have to ask yourself is- Is my teams D line good enough to keep running back X from getting his 4 plus yards per carry?

If they did this, we should be able to rush for 300 yards.
