I think everyone is overestimating what McDaniels can do. Everyone is acting like he chose both Brady and Cassel, no that was Pioli, who we can all agree knows how to draft and find fa talent.

We all know how an offensive coordinator with a great offense works out as a head coach, i.e. Norv Turner. I wish McDaniels the best, but it is not the smartest thing to alienate arguably your best player.

Well...people who actually know what they're doing give NFL rookie coaches more of a window of just two years to start to win. You can't even bring your first draft class to fruition in two years! McDaniels won't have to find a standout QB in his first year. By the way, WHY the hell would any rookie head coach be on/considered the hot seat after his first year??? That is the most moronic thing I've heard and only my illustrious Skins FO can give that sentiment to a greenhorn coach.

Pat Bowlen knows that hiring McDaniels is going to entail some growing pains and has probably accounted a grace period of more than two years to see it out. McDaniels has more than plenty of advantages with all of those high picks, good for him and the Broncos.

Here's to building for the future...clink!

Or alienating the team's fanbase.

I knew he was going to get traded, just didn't know where. Glad it's over.

I'm really happy right now and I'm even more happy in the way JC (the real one) handled this. I seriously see him reflecting on this whole ordeal someday on Americas Game

Orton had his best year last year, showed strong leadership, and played through a really tough ankle injury. I think McDaniels can get some get nice stats out of him in a bad division, their backfield will be healthy, and they can now use this new stockpile of draft picks to improve their defense.

Both Cutler and Denver are losers in this one, but I think Cutler is more of the loser.

The Denver FO gave the keys to the car to a 30something coach and who went on to run the starting QB out of town. One thing is to have a moronic rich owner that has crazy tantrums every now and then, but another is to hand the keys to the franchise to a young coach and have this happen.

Put yourself in the shoes of a Denver fan, your team had a young talented QB, and the ownerships hires a new coach that wants to bring a career back up that had one season? That's idiotic. Funny thing that we complain that our team doesn't have a true GM, you think maybe Denver could have used a GM to tell McDaniels to slow down a bit?

Yeah that's pretty lame. He brings up a game that took place 69 years ago? Wow.

I'm sure if we landed Cutler he'd be all over us for once again mortgaging the future for a big name.

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago

It's one thing to be aggressive with personnel moves like the Patriots, but it's another thing to be taking too many risks and risking too much with one player (several times)like the redskins have done. That's not calculated risk-taking, that's gambling. It's almost like Snyder and Cerrato are the ultimate gambling addicts.

Chicago took alot of risk in trading those picks for Cutler, but at least there haven't been several risks that they have taken like this over the last few years like the redskins have done.

Everyone loves to bag our team, and everyone likes to read/hear what those who bag us have to say. Sadly it's just the cool thing to do.

JC is showing class. I think he still is too passive and holds the ball too long, but I respect him a lot right now.
