From what I saw, he had two deep balls. One seemed to perfectly reach Armstrong in stride. Armstrong just botched the catch. The other was slightly under thrown, but hankerson made an acrobatic catch, fought with the db and pulled it in - albeit out of bounds. Beck had some really solid, accurate intermediate passes, and some awful ones. Particularly two consecutive d. Hall interceptions.

Shameless self plug, I do light aggregation for the skins media and players on twitter so chances are if you check my feed a few times a day you'll catch mostly everything

When I started it was overwhelming trying to follow everyone and decide who was worth it so I decided to make it easier for the less socially adventurous

Maybe I'll start following you. I have a Twitter account but I honestly don't log on at all nowadays because it's such a bother figuring out who to follow to get info from. I'd rather just come here and see what's happening with the 'Skins because breaking news gets posted here as fast as anywhere else.

That's a positive spin on our crappy QB!

It was funny, he had a pretty good line during an interview shortly after practice. When asked about the interception, he said "it was like picking cherries."

Re: Training camp 2011 thread

Just listened to the Cofield presser at Redskins.com, talk about articulate and focused dude. Really impressed.

Funny that Bowen said the decision to sign Cofield made his decision to come here a little easier. Two good moves by the Skins.

Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere but was an interesting read ... most discouraging is Santana's opinion of Beck as just another guy throwing to him, not exactly high praise. On the flip side, Silverback's lost some weight, Hankerson's looking decent and some other good news. Last but not least, it seems like a foregone conclusion that Los will leave so any news on that front?
I mean did anyone expect Beck to light it up or guys to really rally behind him? Especially when accuracy and timing (when his release time as a "pro") is an issue?

Hopefully he can pull it together, it has only been week one, but kinda tired of hearing about who Shanny liked out of college, how about pro scouting and who we like NOW

Re: Training camp 2011 thread

Didn't we already go over this with D.Hall? He's a gambler. He makes plays and gives up plays. It's the nature of how he is. On a good day he can seriously impact games in a positive way for us (Dallas and Chicago last year) and on a bad day he can give up big plays (that Manningham td in Week 17 last year). He's not horrible but he's not great. But does he deserve a starting role? I believe so, because his good and bad plays balance each other out.

Re: Training camp 2011 thread

Regarding the Santana Beck comment... in my opinion ... unless clemmens comes in and wows the pants off of everyone.... Rex will be our starter ... IF .. Mike can swallow his pride.. IMO Beck will not be crisp enough to beat out Rex. The big question is if Beck does poorly if preseason.. does shabby swallow his pride? Does gettin set his ego aside? Will the best qb REALLY win the job? That my friends... is what I am watching the most in this coming month.
