But if you use some common sense (which is all I'm asking) if a player went down due to injury then they would be on the sideline getting looked at, carried off the field, or something. They don't walk off the field and stand on the sideline with out attention waiting for their turn to go back in. |

So what is the difference of maybe not getting off another player when the play is over to run off time,maybe the ball rolls away from the ref....anything to take time away from the other team,clock management.
