Seattle is about to take over that division and STL isn't too far either.

Re: Ravens v. Niners Super Bowl Thread
True that, San Fran was still young. But Justin Smith is 33 and essential to that team. Saw the difference the entire post season/end of the season when he was healthy they were winning and dominating on defense. When he was not the seahawks scored 40 plus and they allowed the Falcons to put up 300 yards of offense in the first half. Him coming back healthy and ready to play is essential, not sure how much age will be a factor though. But the Rams have some parts to make a great defense and if Seattle ever gets home field advantage...

Jimmy is like a 5 year old throwing a temper tantrum. I've never laughed so hard at a grown man showing his ass like I did at Jim Harbaugh. It was ridiculous. Guy has no composure whatsoever.

edit: add in douche bag bigot Culliver too, and no way I was pulling for the 49ers.

Re: Ravens v. Niners Super Bowl Thread
Hope the Redskins copy what the Ravens did. Key underrated offseason moves that do not cost much money and great draft picks Jacoby Jones? Corey Graham? Mckinnie? Leach?. Not huge names but essential underrated players to their superbowl run. Stay away from the big names. Sign the key names.
Great game. Refs let them play. Crabtree had his arms out just as much as Smith. No one was complaining when Bowman had a questionable pass interference call with White 2 weeks a go. Just like the questionable running into the kicker call. Great comeback from the 49ers and an amazing goal line stand to win it. Flacco had a Montana post season. No way around it. 2 of the hardest places to play and threw 11 touchdown passes and zero interceptions. That stretch of games has to be some of the best postseason football EVER. Key third down conversions, drive when they needed one. Just amazing. Much respect to Flacco, almost on the exact same level as Eli Manning. In fact in my opinion had a better postseason than Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, or Tom Brady ever had. Amazing stretch of 4 games. |

Re: Ravens v. Niners Super Bowl Thread
The 3rd down conversion pass took huge balls when they were 1/2 yard short, that play earned him the MVP.

Re: Ravens v. Niners Super Bowl Thread
Very good Super Bowl. Not the best ever but definitely entertaining. If the power didn't go out, it would have been even better.
Flacco played like a top 5 QB tonight and for a half looked like the best super bowl QB I have ever seen. If Baltimore recieves to start the game, we may be talking about the 49ers winning tonight. These teams hated eachother. So many post play fights. So glad Ed Reed, Suggs, Ngata, Boldin, Rice, Leach, Birk all got their much deserved rings (add Flacco, Jacoby, and Torrey to that now) like donofriso said keep in mind how this team is built. Smart underrated FA signings. We've been doing that for the most part of late, but just for some of you fans that want us to go out and get a big name, these guys aren't Big names. And once again the Redskins have beaten the super bowl champion and for the past 7 straight years we've played the eventual super bowl champ in the regular season.
